  1. yes you can just lower it but its not good plus the stock shocks wont take it for long. The springs basically determine the ride height, the shocks are what makes it corner like a bitch so its worth the extra cash. My Koni's (shocks only) set me back $1200 fitted and you are looking at another $200-$300 for springs if you get it all done at the same time you can save yourself some labour charges

  2. went for a dyno last night with the K&N pod and the results were not that great infact i went backwards the K&N ended up @ 86.2kw as shao and I said the K&N doesn't sound as harsh as the TRD so tomorrow the TRD goes back on.

    TRD is the blue plot and the K&N in the red plot
