Nothing looks cooler than Vic's Rim filled guards!
So i Ducked out to Otomoto @ nrth parr today and picked up some 20mm spacers, They are on the exy side compared with others but they are really good qual.
Love the look, they do rub so planning to get the guards rolled and pumped a lil , not too fussed if i get cracks etc this will all be fixed with the respray later.
Really make the @$$ end look sexy! will post more shots asap
Luke, what is your rim diameter, width, and offset? I am about to pull the trigger on some 25mm spacers. Worried by the rubbing issues you have from 20mm.

Ok, lights are installed. My TRD has sexy angel eyes. Cheers to Vick for the idea.
Vents arrived
Rockstars sold but new wheel aren't done yet... hehehe... So the car is on jacks in the garage.
Gotta wrap the centre console
Booking into the body shop this week.
Progress photos tomorrow.

Speaking of diced up bonnets..... My vents just arrived today. Ordered these from the states

Hopefully I can figure out how to do my lights over the weekend, they arrived on Tuesday. Too bad you and Vick aren't closer to QLD.

Ok here is a video of 0-140 in my car. Going uphill on the entrance ramp to the motorway.
-
Sounds good, but its hard to get a decent indication of the 'real' sound without loading it up.
Knowing what D's sounds like under load, I bet yours sounds just as good.
Will do a zero to 100 run video today or tomorrow to capture the 'real sound' from the cockpit. Maybe I can get the missus to film from outside the car too.

Direct fit or did it require some "hacking" so to speak?
Pretty much a direct fit. Oddly, the support bolt threaded into the bolt hole just to the left of the build number plate, connecting strap I turned up and fixed it under the last hose clamp before the pod filter. Besides the awkward positioning of the sensor and vacuum hose, it's a good fit. No cutting required.

Cheers everyone! Sounds great on the road too. No need for music.

Ok, I have installed a Weapon R Dragon Intake. It is for a 2008 V6 Rav-4. Check it out. Let me know what you think.

Wow! That looks awesome! Great look and stance!
-
Wow! From angel eyes to mirrors, this thread went off track quik :P. how'd you go with your lights GDubb? Any word? Want piccys ASAP.
Sigh. Still waiting! Emailed them tonight.
-
Update:
Halfway through installing the weapon-R intake. Will have a video up this weekend. The supercharger whine is insane!
Dropped the Eurolines off at the wheelshop to get stripped and polished. Get them back in a week.
Once the 20s sell, it's off to the paint shop.

This will be very interesting, can't wait to see what you come up with!
Ducktail FTW!
I'm thinking ur right. Definitely loosin the spoiler.
-
Hmm VIP aye? Does that mean you're going for air suspension too?
and here are the nonqueenslanders mocking me with their freedoms....
No... Just coilovers for me.
-
Bahahaha! Nice
Getting rid of all the silver on the dash and steering wheel. Getting rid of all the dark grey on the bodykit. Switching to 18" Work Eurolines and lowering her down. At least that's the concept I have in mind right now.
-
Inspired by members ZR6XY and dutchie101, I'm abandoning my current look, and heading toward VIP.
- Dash is dismantled
- 20" Rockstars are up for sale
- Lukey mufflers off and up for sale
- Parts on their way over
- 1000 new "ideas" a day
- undrive-able car in garage
- frustrated wife in the house
As you Aussies say.... Such is life

Darryl.... You and the others can't rain on my parade. Even if they are dilusions of grandeur, it's tough to argue with cruise control on the same 100k trip every Monday.
As for power.... eh... let me dream. I couldn't care less about an 11 sec car at this point in my life. Stage 2 Turbonetics fitted 2JZ Lex IS 300 left behind in the US did me just fine.
Happy with the bad A$$ saloon I have now. Hoping to get in the "12"s eventually. Happily spending copious amounts of money doing what I love in the meantime....
-
Can't wait mate, i recon they ganna look hot with the black rims!
Speaking of my rims.... I think I may sell em and get some smaller lighter wheels.... Rays or Advan... all black still, but now that I'm gonna start doing performance mods, I don't want to weigh her down.
-
Got rid of the mufflers on my TRD.... Sounds great.... I swear I have more power... and my highway fuel consumption went from 8.3 to 7.4 litres per 100k.... Why didnt I do this before?
Video on YouTube... search TRD Aurion Mufflers deleted... I would upload it but my PC has a virus, and work PC blocks YouTube
-
Is your roof painted or vinyl? If vinyl, black or carbon fibre? Trying to decide what to do with mine.
BTW, ur beast is lookin very good. Classy mods, not over the top. Well done.
-
D@mn double posts!
-
Rattles :( my pet hate.
What ya ganna do vic? take it to a panel shop?
I put Dyno-mat in my doors and rear panel...... Rattles are gone....
Ok, doesn't help the roof issue, but one step at a time.
-
Nice ride.... U should see the crap I drove at 17. sigh.... it was sad. But u are doin it right. Well done!

A little cruise we did a few weeks ago
You should round up the crew and head North. I'm sure some of us QLD'ers could head south. If we planned it well, could have an unofficial eastcoast meet at Coffs Harbour or something.... would be sick
