Countdown to April 27th when the transformation is set to be complete.

Remaining works: roof wrap, spoiler delete, coilovers ($$$ permitting this month), cosmetic paint, JDM badges, tow bar delete, hood vents, new grill, new mesh, 5% tint rear glass

  2. Nothing looks cooler than Vic's Rim filled guards!

So i Ducked out to Otomoto @ nrth parr today and picked up some 20mm spacers, They are on the exy side compared with others but they are really good qual.

Love the look, they do rub so planning to get the guards rolled and pumped a lil , not too fussed if i get cracks etc this will all be fixed with the respray later.

Really make the @$$ end look sexy! will post more shots asap

Luke, what is your rim diameter, width, and offset? I am about to pull the trigger on some 25mm spacers. Worried by the rubbing issues you have from 20mm.

  3. Ok, lights are installed. My TRD has sexy angel eyes. Cheers to Vick for the idea.

    Vents arrived

Rockstars sold but new wheel aren't done yet... hehehe... So the car is on jacks in the garage.

    Gotta wrap the centre console

Booking into the body shop this week.

    Progress photos tomorrow.

  4. Sounds good, but its hard to get a decent indication of the 'real' sound without loading it up.

Knowing what D's sounds like under load, I bet yours sounds just as good.

Will do a zero to 100 run video today or tomorrow to capture the 'real sound' from the cockpit. Maybe I can get the missus to film from outside the car too.

  5. Direct fit or did it require some "hacking" so to speak?

Pretty much a direct fit. Oddly, the support bolt threaded into the bolt hole just to the left of the build number plate, connecting strap I turned up and fixed it under the last hose clamp before the pod filter. Besides the awkward positioning of the sensor and vacuum hose, it's a good fit. No cutting required.

  6. Darryl.... You and the others can't rain on my parade. Even if they are dilusions of grandeur, it's tough to argue with cruise control on the same 100k trip every Monday.

As for power.... eh... let me dream. I couldn't care less about an 11 sec car at this point in my life. Stage 2 Turbonetics fitted 2JZ Lex IS 300 left behind in the US did me just fine.

Happy with the bad A$$ saloon I have now. Hoping to get in the "12"s eventually. Happily spending copious amounts of money doing what I love in the meantime....

  7. Can't wait mate, i recon they ganna look hot with the black rims!

Speaking of my rims.... I think I may sell em and get some smaller lighter wheels.... Rays or Advan... all black still, but now that I'm gonna start doing performance mods, I don't want to weigh her down.

  8. Rattles :( my pet hate.

What ya ganna do vic? take it to a panel shop?

I put Dyno-mat in my doors and rear panel...... Rattles are gone....

Ok, doesn't help the roof issue, but one step at a time.

  9. A little cruise we did a few weeks ago

You should round up the crew and head North. I'm sure some of us QLD'ers could head south. If we planned it well, could have an unofficial eastcoast meet at Coffs Harbour or something.... would be sick
