  1. Hi all,

This is my Celica GT4. Had it for a few years now been through a lot of head aches (Still more to come i would bet)

Always wanted an MR2 but the risk to death if driving on the street, or risk of death at every corner, or risk of death at every time i accelarated. So i bought this in very shabby condition and have been fixing a lot of stuff (sigh) Also had a very funky smell when i bought it, hich did smell like unwahsed genitals.

Basically got it bone stock with everything being original and I do mean everything being original. Including 18 year old timing belt 2 collapesed mufflers, worn out rear discs and lots of other fun things that were all never really updated. Here are some pics of the car when I first got it and the wheels that came with it.

First day i got it with steel wheels

    Smashed up set of wheels

Then got some standard wheels and painted them Blaaakkkk for at the time more street cred lol. This was still at standar ride hieght with 19 year ols shocks and springs, She drove like a boat.

Than about a month later was being stupid and ended up in a smashing in something hard called the ground. I did have more pics but was on my old computer that called it quits one day.

This was the aftermath of taking off the batter panels.

Did decide to fix it after trying to sell it and got ripped off by a lovely company across from where i worked at the time in Maribyrnong.

Did not register teh car for almost 9 months or so then decided to get it done and it passed, YAY!!!!

I did also lower the car a bit which is when she looked like this

Three days later bought a lovely set of Oz racing wheels with Khumo Ku tyres on them.

    And some random photo shots

    Engine shot

So far the mods look like this

    Suspension

    KYB SR RACE shock absorbers

    Whiteline camber bolts all round

    Whiteline adjustable rear sway bar

    Whiteline rear strut brace

    Whiteline front strut brace

    Whiteline Springs on rear

    Brakes

All pads TRW semi race pads

    Other

    C’s short shifter

    K&N panel filter

Car has a larger diameter exhaust from roughly halfway down the car, never measured but looks around the 2.5inch mark. Put standard looking rear muffler to not attract attention.

    Manual boost controller

    Exterior

    LED parker bulbs

    LED number plate bulbs

Phillips Diamond vision 4300k headlight bulbs

    H3 50/50 LED fog lights

I got a few more things to go on the car but htought i would start a build thread on here since i now frequent here. Got some more updates coming up but busy with school and other things. feel free to comment.

I also have no real idea why i cannnot get pictures to come up properly on forums? Can any one help?

    Cheers

  2. Lol sorry i did nto see that. Get a 6th gen celica ssiii. get the same engine but in the maaaadddnneeesss of a celica body and front whell drive. hahaha lol. I really want one if that comment did not make it a bit obvious, but we also do nto get them. sighhh also girls mostly like celica so i guess they have that also in common.

  3. Jsut a warning about the bride seat, the ones made in thailand are still technically real Bride seats cause Bride Japan did not register the name, so its a fake but its real. The best way to check is the thickness of the padding and the quality of the sponge. ALso the Bride logo on the seat should line up perfectly, be slightly cut off or anything. It is pretty hard to tell though, I think the cusion part is the simplest. Car looks the goods, where do you drive to all the time for 800km to the country, drug runner?

  4. Hey guys, im new to this Victorian meet, just letting you guys know Im down for Garage Cafe, it looks like a very nice place to meet up! :)

Welcome mate! :) Make sure you're subscribed to this thread (and email notification turned on) so you'll know when it is confirmed. Alternatively, you can PM me, Tash, private_number or johnnieboi your number and first/last name (save you under a name) and we will send you a text when meets are confirmed. :)

It ended up being really great....

Hey mate, glad that you had fun. :)

I just think it's also good to remind everyone again that on cruises and meets, and especially on "TOCAU" cruises and meets:

    • PLEASE drive within the limits of your car and your driving capabilities. Please do not try to keep up with someone ahead if you feel they are going too fast and/or that you're uncomfortable with the pace they're going. Please follow the road rules, especially continuous/dotted lines and when to overtake safely. We want to avoid unfortunate events as much as possible; minimise the risk to yourselves and especially, the public. If you want to drive fast, please do it on the track. :)
    • PLEASE act in a responsible manner; no hooning or no anti-social behaviour, as you'd be representing the club at these meets/cruises. Hooning and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated at TOCAU events FULL STOP! If you can't do this, please do not bother coming and go join boostcruising or another club. :)

Sorry if it sounds like I am directing all this at you Jo but I am not. I felt it was a good time (it's been a while) to remind everyone the above, especially with the Annual meet coming up in a couple of months.

    Peter.

It is ok. Think i am aware of doing things safely after being a idiot previously with the car. Good to give everyone a heads up.

  5. East suburbs pre meet for cruise on the 26

    PREMEET:

    Place: Nunawadding McDonalds Car Park

    Time: 8:30am

It will take about 30 minutes to get to Diamond Creek McDonalds so it will be a quick stop off for some food and a quick chat

We will depart from Nunawadding McDonalds at 9:20am

If you end up missing us feel free to cruise up to Diamond Creek, there will be the 2nd meeting point which will be at Diamond Creek.

    How did you go? :)

It ended up being really great. The weather was cool in Diamond creek and got better once we got driving. 5 Celicas in total and lots of stupid jokes. Stopped in Marysville and went to the bakery and had lunch then hammered reefton spur. Leaders ran a stop sign except for me mid pack and stopped cause two MX 5s were speding towards me and almost got cleaned up from behind but he dodged me while sliding side ways. Stopped at lilydale lake and chilled for like a hour just talking crap. Great people and cars, was a really good day. I will try come to the tocau monthly meets when they are on, but i work fridays. Also started a stupid idea to call every JDM, from dogs to speed signs, that was the ongoing joke of the day. Not enough or too much JDM. Did get stuck behine a sex spec combi van that would not let us throgh for ages. When a straight appeared we all flew past him, i then hit a massive bump in the road and threw the car a bit then landed then abs kicked in as i tryed to slow for a corner. Stupid combi made me loose concentration, so woke up after that lol.

  6. If you do not reaaly want to hunt for more power just keep it simple with exterior mods. The wheels are 5 stud with a PDC of 5X100 which is the number of studs and the distance between them. For a normal celica i think go with a offset of 45 which i would try to explain in detail but is bit more technical. Its basically how the wheels sit in the guards. 45 will let them sit nicely in the guards. And maybe get some quality lowering springs and shocks, preferably not king springs. something like eibach and some new shocks as putting lowered springs on old shocks tends to make the ride a bit bouncy.and maybe a nice rear muffler to get a nice note. i recommend magnaflow as they give nice notes without being niosy or annoying. But before all of this make sure the car is in good condition such as serviced and replace worn out parts as you would rather have a car that runs everyday no problem, not just looks good and crap to drive day in day out.

You should also make a introduction thread in the new members thread, just to say hi and give breif details abnout yourself.
