@Hiro... it maybe lighter but in fact if we all think about it Plastic does not last that long & we are now paying just as much for the plastic as we are for the metal, we are now living in a Cheap & Lazy Society ;)

Plastic may not last as long (before it breaks) but things in general don't last as long these days because they are always being superseded/outdated, such is the nature of a consumer-oriented society

@Hiro... some plastic's are much stronger & more durable than other plastic's i guess you get what you pay for ;) to be honest we are living in a Plastic Society even our car badges are made out of plastic, there are some things that shouldn't be plastic but metal oh the Joys of owning a Car it's all about saving money & time shame on them ;)
