Auto tilt side mirrors on reverse mod?
SATORI893 replied to lulchul's topic in Aurion / TRD Aurion Club
As for the auto-folding module, you can get them on eBay, a Singapore seller has an Easycar (claims it ZMC) brand one for under $40 delivered and their is one from the UK, they work on folding the mirror in when you lock the door, they get the signal from the power lock motor positive, they then unfold on ACC or IGN depending on how you wire them. As I have said before I bought the ones from that link that is on this thread, just buy the mirrors as their module is rubbish and you have to harass them for a wiring diagram, they want $48 for it. I installed mine on Monday, they only worked a couple of times and now the module is not sending power to the folding motor, the backs of the mirrors I got painted to match the car you have to be careful puttling them on as the clips snap easily, the mirrors seem ok quality except for the clips, they are pretty easy to wire up with the glass adjustment etc, if you can find it in your car like I am trying (if anyone can help me would be great), they have mirror heaters in the glass for fog, they are a good fit. They are ment for left hand drive so the right hand mirror has to be adjusted all the way out to be useful and the passenger side one has a vertical black line that acts as an addition blind spot as the mirror kinks out from that line. I am still wanting for them to get back to me with a diagram, the one they sent me does't open properly and only the text shows up which I followed to wire it, they are not from Berkley CA in the US as they state, they are based in Taiwan so expect communication problems and long periods before replies unless you keep hassling them, personally I am going to get another module, their's is plastic, cheap and nasty looking. -
I'm pretty sure 'collapasible steering wheel' refers to the steering column, because of the up/down adjustment the column has join in it a bit like a uni-joint on a two-piece tailshaft and it's designed to collapse under front impact rather than spear the wheel into to driver/cab, saftely thing I think. That's what I heard.

I'm doing Townsville to Cairns and back next Tuesday, the return trip back will be around 4.30 so won't get back to Townsville till after 8pm, only have to drive out about 20 minutes and you can see them dead on the side of the road. Will be watching the road, on the way back especially.

My Aurion is black, I have the genuine touch up paint that came with the car, all touch ups that have a small brush do stand out a bit but if you fill the scratch then lightly polish over the touch up paint and around it you may get it back to a even finish and the polish may restore the faded paint, but then you could have a good spot unless you want to cut and polish the whole car to restore the paint. Most car shops can tell you what polish would work best, Macguires have pretty good stuff & I'm happy using it for the interior also their cleaners & protectors are good I find, I have used it on my current car and the 2 I had before it but some people like other brands. I bought one of the pens off the tv that they advertise that do any colour, it works ok if the scratch is thin and you can see a raised coating where the scratch was but the colour matches well, it may flatten out when I give it a polish, those pens aren't cheap though. Around $60 with postage.

Hate to ask under the circumstances mate, is it just the camera or do those DRLs appear to look like a single straight beam in the dark? Also where did you get them? Are they self adheasive LED strips that you modified yourself? Are they just stuck to the front of the headlamp? Sorry to see your car that way, hope it's fixable and no-one was injured.

Well after some harrassing I they finally sent me an email with the wiring diagram for the module, the enclosures would not run, it was HTM, XML & GIF files, about 20 of them, one of the HTM files opened up with the text but no diagrams, I followed the text info and got it working on a bench test simulation so will instal this weekend....finally. -

Just reviving this thread, did anyone buy a set of mirrors of these guys? If so did you get the folding module they supply? I bought a pair and am still chasing them for a wiring diagram for the module, they keep telling me the photocopied sheet they sent me is the wiring diagram but it only lists the wire colours and functions for the mirrors, I have 9 wires on the module and no idea which ones go where or what's postitive or negative, can anyone help me as they are typically stalling in getting back to me, I don't recommend buying off Keylight, their site says California address but they are Taiwan based, have read complaints about them on a US Lexus TOC forum. If you want fold back mirrors then buy just the mirrors (they seem to be pretty good and they are a perfect fit) but get a control module off eBay, that is what I may have to do if no-one can't help me out on here if they have a wiring diagram. I have googled it but found diagrams for other modules, ZMC etc, the module just has FOCUS9260A0904 on a label on the side, no idea who makes it. Hope someone can help me, paid $48 for it and will be about $50 for one off ebay from Singapore or I can get one from the UK but if I can would rather get the one I paid for working. Please PM me if you can help. Cheers. -

Auto tilt side mirrors on reverse mod?
SATORI893 replied to lulchul's topic in Aurion / TRD Aurion Club
Speaking of folding mirrors, I got a pair from that link on here somewhere, they have wiring for mirror heaters to clear fog from the glass. I looked at 2010 Aurion features in Redbook and can't find any models that have side mirror heaters, I looked through my owners manual in the fuse box section and there is a fuse for the mirrors in the one behind the glovebox, I had a look at mine and it has a 10 amp fuse already in there, listed as MIR HTR (mirror heater) yet when I turn on the rear demister the mirrors do not get hot and after having a look behind the mirror there are no wires, could it just be part of the harness? they usually don't put fuses in if the feature is not on the car, when I get round to installing the mirrors I will play around with the plug and see if there is power to the mirror's plug when the demister is switched on as the manual says the mirror heaters work when you turn on the demister. Does anyone have mirror heaters in their Aurions and if so what model do you have or is it a Camry feature? Cheers. -
Most car shops have LED bulbs to suit most car interior applications and types of bulbs, I have gotten some good cheap ones off eBay and if you have a Jaycar electronics store near you they have a decent range, sizes, colours, sometimes you have to try them out 1st, LEDs project light forward and not so much around as a standard bulb but now you can get ones that have SMD LEDs down the sides and on the top, these are great but sometimes the light can be narrow and it depends on the placement of the bulbs behind the lens/plastic diffuser. you can get some good results with a bit of trial and error and shopping around. You just get the same type base (T10 wedge or festoon) and swap them over, you have to have them round the right way, negative and positive wise, if it doesn't work just pull it out and put it back in with the terminals reversed. As for your low beam they may be Xenon High Intensity Discharge (HID) bulbs and you can't get better than that. Hope that helps.

I fitted the Philips DRL 5 to my Touring, I am impressed, very bright, there is a slight delay when you turn on the park lights or the ignition off before they go out but that looks cool if you like that sort of thing, some pics enclosed. Though in pic three all the lights are on they are now wired so they only come on by themselves and turn off as soon as park to switched on, this is a legal requirement. Bodykits kingdom sell a set that go in the fog lamp chrome surround, they look more factory but not sure how they perform, you can find them on their site or on ebay by searching 'Aurion'.
