I am heading down to gold coast for a convention tomorrow afternoon.. I should hv some spare time friday morning, sunday afternoon and whole day monday.. Thinking of going down to Dreamworld either on sunday or monday :) other then that.... are there anything like.. FOOD places or Attraction that I HAVE TO see? :) Also, are there many autoshops down @ the gc that i could grab something for my rolla maybe :P

not sure what you are after, but i got some LEDs down @ the footwell which are connected to the door light (neons or anything else.. same concept) what i did was that i didnt want to cut any wire cause i might screw it up and i wont know which to cut, so i pulled some cable from the top (roof) where the interior light is all the way down the side pillar and go from there.. now the challenge with this is not the wiring but is how u bring the cable from the top to the side.. What i did was that i rolled up some paper clip, tie a fishing string to it... (so they r like a huge ball of metal - not that big but big enuf) and i got some REALLY REALLY strong magnet (got them from a friend which came out of those nav system on big ships :P ) try to guide the ball of paperclip to the side and then once u get there.. tie your cable to the other end and start dragging (i will allow for extra cable just in case and if you can leave the fish string there for future use.. that way you can connect ANY light that is connected to that wire u pulled and they will fade out when u close the door :P pretty cool haha.. pm me if you have any question

4yrs/80 000km .. If you talk to toyota they will say that it'd be best if u do that service (4/80 000) whichever comes 1st.. but again if you ask me, i wouldnt do a major service just yet. Since you said that you havent done a service in a while, maybe its worth going in for a regular checkup/service.. Again, this is what i think because if you havent done 80 000k :P why do the 80 000k service.. I might be wrong :P maybe there is a diff story behind it

i doubt it'd even fit a pre-facelift..

Damn thats poor poor customer service i tell ya.. they love telling you nothing is wrong with it and when something goes wrong after a while, they blame it on u and tell u that it was YOUR FAULT not theirs... I had squeeky noise with my shocks from day 1 i got he car (USED thou - from a toyota dealer) Brought it back and they didnt do much about it.. just told me they are normal.. so i dunno.. maybe its time for new shocks or smething .. but yeh.. i dont think that its just toyota that does that.. i think now days, any dealership u walk into gives you that kinda ****... they simply dont care about after sales service nemore.. they just wanna get the cars out there.. and hoping that ur car dies quickly and come back to get more... After what I read.. getting bit worried with my breaks :P hmm hopefully mine are still going nice n strong.. not in the mood of changing breaks :P

Got some new rims off saintz01 - some stock stivo rims.. Sanded it down and sprayed them black (1st time doing it so its not the BEST job.. some paint already flake off thanks to the tyre fitter :P oh well.. it looks like gutter mark/scratch so i will leave it for now :) respray them when they get REAL bad.. for now.. lowering comes next when i get around to it! :D These are running on MAXXIS (MA-V1) 205/50R16 (88V) lol.. not everyday that u find 88V load rating tyres :P They end up to be 145 a corner from TTF

I would love some that does not require much cleaning :P so i thot black might do the job, it is the stivo rims and i recon they will be alright black :) Would hv gone bronze like saintz but couldnt find bronze spray and didnt want the wrong shade of bronze either so black was the way to go lol can i refund u the rims then :P and an extra 50 coz i did sand them all down :P ready to be painted!! I would hv gone for white but the stivo rims has few too many spokes and i recon white looks good on rims with wide spokes .. (IMO) black for me then :P dont wanan be too mcuh of a POSER :P and i dont hv BIG rims :P for 2 reason haha.. 1. doesnt weigh my heavy enuf car down and also 2. cheaper!! :P LOL and PROUD of it! However, best quote of all time goes to kcorro not long ago: :D hahah chrome is too much :P i dont quite like them :P

thats quite true.. stickin with the stock silver.. but i dont think i like silver all together :P bit too plain - although it'd be easy n nice but i dont want to hv to do a harder job next time coz by then i will hv wheels on them.. now i can just spray ontop of them coz they r bald :P but yeh thanks heaps for the input! end up buying black spraycans :P so yeh.. easy maintanance.. lol.. i'd go pink if u spray ur car purple :P

hey kenny..what sportiyo and badboyz said is quite true..might give u a very unique corolla look ;) hehe or if u can find a nice shade of bronze..would look good too..then u'll slowly morph into Ron's evil twin 2 black 2 white.. oh man! :P lets not go there :P!!!! haha.. it'd look like i just clean the front wheel and left the back wheel to die :P but yeh.. bronze.. dunno if i can find a nice bronze or not.. i will look around super cheap... but yeh.. its a gamble.. black is probably easiest :P I've never done any spray painting before so yeh :P

Its just the stock stivo rims... all i can get my hands on now.. With black - Like Tayles says it will look like steel rims with no hubbies and I cant exactly have polished rims coz dnt think u can do it with the stivo rims yea? With white - white on white has been what i wanted but i dont think the sportivo rims will look that nice white.. Wondering if anyone has a stock enuf sportivo (white) and have stock rims on them :P then i can maybe photoshop it a little and see how they turn out.. but again :P if not happy with colour.. there is always DO IT AGAIN! :P Thanks for the comments.. i will prob list them all out and see which one would be best for my liking and easy to do.. (keep it silver? LOL!) @ PHOBOI - do you just have side skirt or you have a front lip as well? coz that looks rly nice if its just side skirt :P cost less too i guess :P

I will be getting some 16" stock sportivo rims on my hmm not so sporty ascent :P but yeh.. I was thinking of not keeping it silver because it'd be rather boring.. I've seen a few thread around... White corolla with white rims which looks pretty nice i must say but I have not rly seen many corolla with BLACK rims. Black is the colour I feel like going because its easy to clean (:P means i dont hv to clean every 2nd day) and I think if i spray it myself it will be easier to do black? (correct me if im wrong) Just need some photos if anyone has them or just what u think! :D Thanks

haha..u're spot on Ken!hahaha..i've got someone coming to see the car today..so this weekend would be a gd time..just let us know where and when..South Perth sounds great!hahaha... you should just WALK down rather then drive down if its south perth! Here is one for the Perthies! I heard that the last cruise/meet didnt work out that well and hopefully we will get it right this time. I've talked to few guys about it and since most of the people I've talked to so far is still in uni so I kind of set it to make it easier around the uni exam but if anyone have any problem with those dates please let me know. One whole week, it should be more then sufficient. This is pretty much in PLANNING so I dont know what we going to do or when we going to meet. I just want to hear from you guys and then we can set a date that will best suit everyone :) Fire away!
