  1. Hi guys I'm a complete noob at audio stuff and needed some help. So i'm looking to buy a basic bluetooth headunit and put in my aurion. I was looking at the sony bt2950. If i want to maintain the steering wheel controls, do i need to buy the following kit? http://www.ebay.com....#ht_4552wt_1048 Also if I just want to connect the head unit to the speakers, is it just a matter of removing the stock unit and plugging this one in or will I need to change the leads etc? Does the head unit come with all the required connectors? Can i just buy these connectors from jaycar, follow the wiring diagram above and do all this myself? I know I can get the unit installed but I want to do this myself to learn. Thanks
  2. Cheers, thats what I thought but dealer quoted $200!! Will shop around knowing that $110 is about where its at. Thanks
  3. anyone? i've got a whole lot of expenses coming up on the aurion (brakes, tyres, rego and insurance!) and would like to do this as cheap as possible - other than me doing it as I dont have any tools whatsoever!
  4. Hey guys I'm rapt I found this thread, this knocking noise was bugging me so much!!!! Has anyone had the TSB fix at a dealer? Care to let me know how much you paid? I called Lane Toyota in VIC, quoted $200 all up, seems steep to me for some grease and light work... Can I get this done somewhere other than a toyota dealer cheaper? Thanks
  5. Hi Everyone I've been reading this forum for a while now and thought I might as well join and introduce myself. I've found it very helpful! I have an 06 Aurion AT-X, bought it second hand mid last year, been good to me so far. Recently had someone blindly pull out in front of me without indicating and against all my best efforts, I went straight into them, however thankfully there was a witness and insurance is on my side. Just got my car back a week ago from the repairers (who took 4 weeks for a very simple job) and have noticed it is making a funny noise on idle and very low speed. Its a high pitch squeaky noise. The repairers replaced the radiator, some aesthetic parts, a few bits a peices inside the front of the car and they regassed the AC, other than that they didnt do much else. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Will post this in the right section on the forum but I thought i'd also post it here on the off chance someone might be able to help. Thanks
