You get a good feeling ;) Seriously though - you get 5-6 photos (usually more - depends on the car and how much time I have) and high-res photos of the images supplied (approx. 4300x2900 resolution). At leass than $10 per photos, that's cheaper than any professional shoot.
Gear list is in my sig. I use Lightroom only, and all the pics are not heavily processed - just crop and rotate, pretty much. 95% camera, 5% post-processing. Also none of that HDR multi-exposure stuff, either - single exposure images, single RAW.
Won't have any problems, I used to have an ST205 Celica GT-Four with an actual Group A bonnet vent, and nothing ever went wrong :P As long as there's nothing electrical underneath it...
There's been a fair bit of PM interest asking for a photoshoot night for something like what I did for BigBum - is there enough interest for me to run a night?
Date: 27/02/09, 9pm onwards
Location: Mount Waverley (details PM'd to participants week prior)
Cost: $50 per car
Whenever you're ready... PM me... or maybe we can organise a TOCAU photoshoot night, with a donation back to the club... who should I speak to regarding that?
If there's enough interest, I do interstate photoshoot nights... in a few weeks I'm going to Sydney for the XR6 Turbo club shoot. :)
And the price is $50 in a group, more if it's solo (but you get heaps more shots than the group nights).
I usually travel with two 580EX-II flash units with me ;) but I didn't use flashes for lighting this :) the light source wouldn't be this soft with flashes.
Yaris is H4 hi/lo, not sure about the 380. I think it is as well. $215 per kit, sent via Express - might be able to send it cheaper if it's non-express but Express is much easier.
The H4 hi/lo comes with a relay. It will always make use of a relay, as some cars use positive polarity driven whereas others use negative polarity. So some kits will work and some won't. The relay is the only way it can be guaranteed that high and lowbeam will work.
Compared to halogen globes they are about three times brighter. It also makes everything much easier to see at night too, road signs glow as if it was fluorescent :)
I don't have pics of the kit, I mean, pics don't really tell much. Being a photographer myself, it's very easy to manipulate photos to show what I want it to :P What do you need pics to show exactly?
