there's no USB port at the back... I've been looking for an aux input cable for ages... no luck.

Interesting. did you get your parts sorted? Post a pic or two will help too. but I'd just cut the cable and solder them together. or if it's an RCA input, I'd try "eclipse UC100" on ebay. It's pretty pricey for a cable. perhaps cut the cable is your best bet.
