Hi, new to ravs, my 2001 auto has shifting issues, so i am changing the ECU out. my questions are.. will it start when i put in the new ecu, does the key transponder talk to the ecu or is it a seperate box somewhere that controls that? if the transponder/security part is in the main ecu do i have to take it to a toyota dealer to get it reprogrammed? thanks.

looking for a complete efi setup to convert my 22R engine to a 22R-E. or whatever bits someone may have.
