Oh man you guys pay so much more for parts then we do here in the US.
For the rocker cover gaskets, I've been meaning to wrote a DIY for those. I know how to do it by heart at this point. Heck, had the SuperCharger off the car tonight in 25 minutes. The struts I have wrote a DIY up for them for the camry, if you want the links. Let me know. I did them on a '99 Camry 3 weeks back, and doing a '00 Camry Solara next week too.
The top engine mount is a quick 10 minute job, and the engine does not need any support. On my '96 Camry, I just need to make sure the car is at a slight downhill slant (front of car), and the engine tilts at the perfect angle thats it;s a quick bolt/unbolt for a new one.
-
If this helps, the 3VZ and 1MZ use the same mounting points. So if one works, so will the other. In the US 92-96 Camry, they used both the 3VZ and 1MZ engines on the same subframes with the same mounting points.

It's still 2006 here for 10 more hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, how is the future????????

They've been discontinued for 2 years now. :( Everyone here int he US wants them, but only way to get them is Used. Usually either Ebay or a couple of the Toyota forums. Other then that, your outta luck.

Ok, 1MZFE Engine. The main radiator vavle is located in the area of the red circle. It is on the inside of the engine bay, not the outside where the circle is.
The valve thingy just screws out. This was the best picture I could get of it right now, sorry. I may have it on a ramp tomorrow where I can get a better pic. You unscrew the white thing.
The OTHER valve is on the Engine block, on the front. If I remember correctly, it is 10mm. This lets the fluid out of the block, to get it ALL out.
IF your changing the coolant, I'd recomecnd to change the Thermostate as well. Just to get it done with before it fails, and the coolant is drained. Please feel free to ask any more Q's. :)

Ok, things learned from my post. Don;t make them LATE at night. There is also the drain on the engine block ITSELF you need to do. I'll get some pics up in a couple hours. :)

What year and engine? If it;s a 5SFE or 1MZFE I'll take pics int he morning for you. Since my car is diassembled, haha.

Ferraris the only way to go!!!
Get a ride in a Porsche. May change ur mind, ahha. I'm a Porsche and Toyota lover.
And a couple weeks back, a Porsche Carerra GT not too far from me had a similiar accident to that Ferarri. Hit Telephone pole and totaled the damn car. :(
-
At least it was a cheap Ferarri, so not too too big of a loss. :)
it;ll only take him about 15 yrs to pay it off :D
:P Pics I MYSELF have taken this year. :)
Yes, I'm a Photo Whore!

I personally think every girl likes bad guys in general..........good guys seem boring.....until you want a frickin husband or partner for life.........it f*c*k*n* stupid.........I still have not gotten over it.....
I'm a good guy, but when provoked I can kill someone......Not kidding.
Been provoked on a few ocassions...and if it wasn't for my friends holding me back and letting me cool down......could of really landed in some deep waters....but I'm married now lol
Amen.
That sounds about right....
Since your married, how's not having sex? :P
-
is it gonna take that long to put it back together? hahha jk
Yes, considering it's not the same parts that came off.
-
One question...
WHY?
Time will tell. ~2 weeks. I HOPE!

1.) "Nice guys finish last" rings true for everyone except Rob :P
2.) Deep pockets is another drawcard. Women can smell income. I can prove this on an abacus.
#1: It is true, and I have witnessed it.
#2: Tis also true, and have witnessed it. I once aid in class to someone that my Grandma gave me her 3ct diamond engagement ring for when I need it, and EVERY girl in the class looked at me like they were going to rape me and tke the diamond!!! Almost scared me.
Also, I am almost 24 and never had a g/f. YET, I am always giving relationship advice out. Girls do not want nice guys,a nd I DO NOT car what they say. Except for the few that are the exception. Most girls at my college will cheer on a fraturnity guy or Jock when beating up a nerd/geek. It really is sad.
Also, on another note, it REALLY pisses females off when you ignore them. I had fun with that once. :)
-
Sad thing is, BOTH my '96 V6 Camry and my Mom's '05 I4 Camry have gotten MORE mpg then the EPA has rated it on the highway, WITH A/C ON!!!!!
-
I read it that your just not allowed to mod the car to start with....or even change your muffler when if falls off from age incase the sound output changes by 0.000001dB
Massachussets USA has a similiar law on exhaust systems. Technically, even if it rusts and falls off, you are not allowed to put even an OEM from dealer one on.
California USA is worse BTW......ug!

Does it count that I even though I clicked the link, I still hit mute 1st?
-
remember to also
change the radiator cap when the car is cold, or you will get a nasty shock/ maybe even a few burns
Same when unhooking the Throttle Body hoses. Yeah, that was learned the hard way, and burned!
Yes, change the cap.

In the US they have mainly ervice specials and a few sales. Like bring in the coupon for 10% off parts purchase. Usually it's just wiper blades and oil filters on sale.
BUT, you can get "some" items for next to nothing, if your in the right place at the right time. I needed a bumper fromt he Lexus dealership, and they are normally $350USD. They had recently found one laying int hier basement, and sold it to me for $100. :D
parts price help/enquiry... plz help out!

As for the struts, do not bother with OEM Toyota. Your best bet, if you have the brand there, is KYB-GR2's, which are just as good, but cheaper.
As for the DIY's, just scrool down a tad to General Maintmence DIY's, there are a lot more besides my own: http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t220549.html
My DIY is for the Gen 3 Camry (Model before the '98), but it is all the same. The suspension is nearly identicle.
