Hi Guy's rego is due on the Aurion and was thinking it wouldn't pass a hand brake inspection as it rolls away backwards with no resistance at all. Forward no problem at all it holds well. So what do you guy's do try and get it fixed every year or what happens. ? Just checked my papers and an inspection is not required this year thankfully! but next year will be a problem. Cheers.

Yup Mine has MAP, inlet Temp, EGT, fuel pressure, Barometric pressure, you name it basically it's there on the tourqe app. Transmission temp doesn't seem to read anything but the coolant temp! that may or may not be normal I can't figure that out yet. a 7.0 tablet fits nicely between the ashtray and the air control knobs, see if can get a picture maybe tomorrow. If you bought a Bluetooth OBD 2 port reader. Linked that to an Android device Tab 2 Samsung or Android Phone. The OBD reader will display all of that and more on your tablet with a Torque App from google play there is a free App one and for $4.95. Oh and the Blue tooth reader is around 15-20 Bucks get it on ebay etc. Cheers.

I did the same thing as the second video on my 2003 V6 Altise. I did it around 160K the fluid was quite Brown and smelt bad! first I drained and removed the Pan put in a new strainer it was Clean! Filled with exact amount of Fluid that came out. Then removed trans cooler line bottom of radiator, put on some 12mm clear hose and put that in a white bucket. Found a desent funnel for the Dip stick filler got me 10 litres of appropriate fluid that was left over for that Transmission and started the car! the fluid pumped out like a tap at 1/4 turn and was easy to keep the flow by filling at the same time. around 8 litres went through before the fluid was clear and clean. Also done a total of 290K before selling and no Tranmission problems. However I haven't done it on the Aurion yet! as I haven't even changed the engine Oil let alone been underneath for a look, But i guess will soon. Cheers

No didn't buy it new got it 4 weeks ago with 72K on it. And am happy with it so far would get another one for sure! ... very good economy 3 tanks doing less than 8 litres to the 100k on me 110 k drive to work which is 30 min city 1 hour F3. so getting over 700 K's on a tank and putting in from 49 litres to 55 litres on a 70 litre tank much better than the 2003 V6 prior to this one that was around 10 litres to the 100. Plenty of power wife tried 3 times to floor it and gave up to scary for her. Cheers

Seems to be a few things I have been reading this forum since I bought mine Water pump leak, check for splatter or a line on the bonnet sound proofing just above water pump. Auto trans check for clunking or flaring when changing gears when cold. Also sticking in park or hard to move lever out of park. Steering pulling to the left. Park brake not working. Thankfully mine has none of the above! Cheers

Hi Guy's have the OBD 2 port running through the Torque app on an Android and reading the sensors for engine coolant, and Transmission temp sensor, they are the same!!! Well it kinda makes sence that it would be, as the auto fluid goes through the radiator, but can't help but think it should run a bit hotter and maybe vary a bit as there is no thermostat! Your thoughts. Cheers.

Hi Guy's I just bought another Toyota V6 My third one, had a 93 Vienta, 2003 Altise, and this one. My previous V6's had done 385K's and it died a terminal death not worth fixing, and thought I better sell the 03 model at 290K before it was worth zero, actually it was nearly worth Zero at a Mazda place they offered me a grand!... I did get 2.5K for a trade : / Anyway my questions so far have already mostly been answered EG: whats with the foot brake useless in reverse, seems normal. Auto transmission i really need to put new Oil in it..... I can't beleive the trans fluid can last a life time. But I have read what to do thanks. So that just leaves Four things the bright center console knobs! man there distracting, can I just prize the clear plastic cover off the knobs, was thinking of putting some light gell in there of a nice colour to tone them down a bit. Or how do I get the little globe out! thinking I could dip the globe in some Nail polish to calm it down if the Gell looks crap!. Other thing is I need to get to the back of the Radio as the front 4 speakers aren't working, thinking someone pulled the plug so they could put there Hands free phone in to the socket or something like that. so how does one get to the back of the radio as easy as possible. Oh and possible the most important how does one check the radiator level sure I can check the expansion tank! but I would rather look down the neck of the radiator to see the level for me self. Okay one last think I bought a OBD 2 Blue tooth reader for the last car, and was wondering can I leave this device in the OBD port permanantly! or is something likely to give out! short then leave me stranded without a car. ? Just thinking using a small drill bit, and an electric drill! might not be the best option EG: petrol fumes and sparks from the motor on the Drill. You might just lose some Hair on your arm. Cheers.
