I thought it required the battery being disconnected for 12 hours or some rediculous amount of time. You are probably right though that the car should be able to re-map the fuel system itself. You might not have noticed if you had your new head unit installed, but do you have to enter in a security code into the stereo after cutting power?

I am about to purchase the AEM CAI and wanted to find out more about the ECU and whether you need to reset it after installing the CAI. I understand that most later model cars have self adjusting ECU's and I am pretty sure that the Stivo does as well, but I have heard that you have to unhook the battery for a while to allow it to reset, or there are set procedures that can be followed with the ignition/throttle to also reset the ECU. Peekay, Exec6, did you guys need to reset after the mod?

Did anyone notice that the Sportivo came in a more than credible forth in the NRMA awards for sports car under $57K. It was beaten by the WRX and RX8 which tied for first and the XR6 turbo (which won last year) came in third. It beat the Ford and the Astra on almost everything except performance and handling. It had the best rating out of all contenders for depreciation. Not bad for a 30K car i reckon. :D

I picked up my sportivo just over a month ago for 30K drive away. I found that if you are prepared to go for a drive to pick one up you can work some pretty good deals. I had three dealers, one in Albury Vic, one in Wagga NSW and one in Taree NSW all giving me great prices. I just kept going from one to the other and eventually found that no one was prepared to go lower than 30K.
