  1. go the jap/US ones. I've heard several cars with the lukey and I still reckon the imports are much better, sounding and performance wise. But I guess its up to personal preference
  2. I agree. Taking care of your paintjob is really hard with all the knobs out there who drive crappy cars (or just don't give a crap about there car) opening doors into it. I think your right about this one regarding the plastics/interior of the new cars these days..... but no matter how good the technology gets, your paint and leather parts will always be prone to damage from careless idiots. Even if a break-through is made on scratch-proof technology it will be some time before it is standard on all new production cars. I reckon if you love your car and you value the way your paintjob, leather and interior looks, its a worthwhile investment.
  3. do not buy from tempe. I hear they use a lot of recycled materials which makes their wheels very heavy. And its not just tempe. Alot of the wheel dealers do this. What car is this for? If its a small car the extra weight is gonna affect performance. I'd say get sum japanese racing alloys. They look better and much lighter.
  4. i dont know about that one mate. I havent read the other thread but when I installed a carbon fibre scooped bonnet on my old car, it definitely improved performance. Not only was it significantly lighter but it let in a lot more cold air into the engine. My scoop was backward facing though. I would recommend getting a backward facing one. Becuase it creates an outlet, more cold air comes in and more hot air goes out......' win/win. I was real pleased because I thought the only major benefit would from the weight but I saw a clear improvement in throttle response and generally power aswell.
  5. damn,.... $1200, $1300, $1500 for a corolla? Damn it. That's a killer. Did every1 shop around?? WHys it so much. *** damn.....feel sorry 4 u ppl....
  6. that looks crazy man. Very nice indeed. How longd it take u to do all this?
  7. I had the same prob with a diff car (non-toyota). I found them from the wreckers. Call around. There should be heaps of specialist toyota wreckers around sydney/melb who would post stuff to you.
  8. Quite a few genuine honda fans are a bit disappointed that these are being made in britain. What the???? Why are the japs building one of their performance bred cars in britland. The older model was more raw, kickass and made sure the pansies found it too uncomfortable to own one. It's a bit of a turn-off when you drive a new sports car off the lot and then realise that every sunday driver owns one too. THE EK CTR was the sh*t built wholly in Japan. Much better. Still looks awesome and its meant to be OK in terms of performance. Still wish they would bring out the EK CTR. BUT.... Check out the mugen 4 door CTR. Damn............I think i'm in love
  9. this is a severe let down. What r the designers at subaru doin? What a shame. I guess the EVO is just gonna keep sh*ttin on the roo for yrs to come.
  10. Glen 20 / Febreeze was recommended to me aswell after too many bouts of sneaking a smoke in my my folks car. Didn't work great. Doesn't always smell only sometimes I believe. The guys at Toyota tried to tell us it was because of rain-water. What the......????? Anyway...still havent got rid of the putred stank but it's not my car right!!! :)
