  8. Heys Guys, Today I got my spare set of Cam covers sand-blasted (see picture below). Basically I am going to have these painted in a Red Two-pack Expoxy heat treated paint with the use of a spray-gun, I want them to stand out like dogs balls.. I know most other people have painted the cam covers in the VHT Engine Enamel paint, I for one have my existing set of cam covers painted in VHT paint, but IMO i think the VHT paint looks just flat and plain, and I have noticed the paint is starting to bubble since I accidentally spilt oil over it. Now I would like to know how to... Sand this inlet so it looks polished What would be good way to remove the substances out of inside it? I want to have to have it looking clean free of sludge.. And If I sand the letters would they develop rust afterwards? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Yeah, I was considering using upholstery glue and a staple gun, however I just thought since you have to allow it time for the glue to dry you need to allow the vinyl to stay firmly in place so it doesnt look crinkled shortly after you apply the glue, which is why i thought my way of using the aluminum strip would keep the vinyl firmly in place. Plus, if you notice in some kitchens in houses, Aluminium strips are used to keep the lino firmly placed on the floor, which is where i got the idea to use the Aluminium strips for the Parcel Tray. Also, the aluminium strips are underneath the tray, and im planning to paint them black so they wont be so they will be hidden unless you tilt your head underneath to view it.. But by the way, thanks for the positive feedback

  14. turning 19 next week, but been mistaken for having the looks of a 16 year old
  15. not necessarily, if he puts off paying it for a month and then gains his green p's, then afterwards he can pay for the fine and then lose 3 points (provided that he hasnt commited any offences previously) and have 4 points left and he wont lose his license.. you need to re-read the new regulations for red P plate drivers... it does not matter how may points you have or haven't got, you speed at all, you will get your license suspended if you are caught. oh ok, well its miss conduct on the cops behalf for letting him go without taking his license away on the spot
  16. okay well, you were lucky in both ways that the cop didnt realise you were on your red p platers and he didnt enforce the instant suspension since the new rta laws on red p platers enforces them to lose there license instantly regardless of how fast you were going.. so now you should drive like a granny, go for your green p's then pay for the fine and you will lose 3 points and be thankful you still have the privilage to drive, unlike myself many other p platers who have learnt the hard way
  17. you have to do some internal work to the motor and lower the compression to be able to use the supercharger, not just a simple bolt on procedure ;)
  18. not necessarily, if he puts off paying it for a month and then gains his green p's, then afterwards he can pay for the fine and then lose 3 points (provided that he hasnt commited any offences previously) and have 4 points left and he wont lose his license.. on the fine it will say you have 21 days to make further action by payment, if you dont pay it within the 21 days they will send you a reminder of the fine however the fine will still be the same amount, if you dont pay the fine within the further 21 days given as a reminder afterwards the fine will be increased with a 3rd reminder if the cop didnt cut him some slack and actually booked him for the offense he commited "30km/h over the limit but no more than 45km/h" then it would be a suspension regardless of what type of license you hold..
