  1. Seems to be the original door, I will take off the door trim and see if the harness is tucked away in there.
  2. Hey guys I got a Kakadu 2011 and decided to replace the passenger door light as it’s been out since I purchased the car, however as I pop the cover out there wasn’t any wiring harness connected to the door light. The other 3 doors have their door light and a wiring harness but its just the passenger door that does not have the wiring harness for the door light.
  3. You can actually install a cabin filter in the ACV36R series, if you cut out the opening where the cabin filter should be installed there is space for it. I went to my local wreckers to try this before doing it on my own car and this it how it looks like . The cutout isn't perfect as I was using a bad knife. The RAV4 and also maybe the Tarago cabin filter tray should slide right in perfectly into the slot if the cutout is done right.
  4. Hi guys just an update on ACV36R cabin filter, I have been reading forums and watch YouTube videos and found out that earlier model Hiluxes didn't have a cabin filter from the factory but it was possible to cut open and install one. http://www.newhilux.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=907&sid=8ea871678508677e7d77b3dfda899127 So this got me thinking maybe we can do the same in our ACV36R Camry's. So I went to the wreckers and found a ACV36R Camry and start cutting open the slot behind the glove box where the cabin filter should be installed, and yes we can install a cabin filter. The cut isn't perfect as I wasn't used a good knife but the space is there. I found a early model Corolla and grabbed the cabin filter tray on it, surprisingly the Corolla had a cabin filter from the factory and slid the tray into the slot on the Camry and it is almost a perfect fit. Strange why Toyota wouldnt install a cabin filter from the factory as the ACV36R was once Toyota's flagship car. Even the Toyota Echo has a factory cabin filter slot.
  5. Thanks, would you know what sort of globe will fit there, I want to change them to LED.
  6. Hi, does anyone know how to remove the map light bulb, can't seem to figure out how to remove it.
  7. Tried to remove the glass from the mirror, it came off but I broke it so it won't go back on. Yep I'll have to buy the whole mirror assembly now.
  8. Hi I was wondering if its possible to install a clock unit from a MCV36R Camry with the extra features e.g. avg l/100km into a ACV36R Camry.
  9. Hi does anyone know how to change the side mirror glass on these Camry's, just the side mirror glass not the whole mirror, as I got some cheap aftermarket one installed currently and want to change it to a original Toyota one.
  10. Yes they are tiny, luckily he had some of those bulbs at his shop, but he said these bulbs can be only found at Toyota.
  11. It is possible i got my bulbs replaced, got it done at a car radio shop for $50 with new bulbs included.
  12. Yeah that is true, i just thought it may be just easier to get a hold of factory ones as it will be a straight forward install, but yeah you're correct about it being already deteriorated. If you know, would you know what size speaker would fit thanks.
  13. Managed to get it out and unfortunately the 4 cylinder Sportivo Camry's don't have the tweeters, but tweeters can be installed there, i guess time to find some V6 Camry's that are wrecking and get it off it and get it installed in my Camry.
  14. So i have taken out the stereo, and wasn't able to figure out how to still take out the A/C unit post image online
  15. The back part of the skirts is also starting to come off as well
  16. Hi guys, the glue is starting to come off the side skirts on my camry, anyone know whats the best sort of glue to use to attach it together again
  17. Not sure, i will have to check again, i will this time try taking out the radio as well as i've seen somewhere that the radio needs to be taken out as well.
  18. Hi got a problem where my dash speaker cover does not want to come out, tried everything to remove these covers, anyone know the right way to remove these covers thanks.
  19. Tried removing the A/C unit but its very hard to take out, feels like i'm about to break it, i think the radio needs to be taken out as well. I think the Australian Camry's have a slightly different design dash.
  20. Hi i got a problem where whenever on a cold start in the morning, there this weird squeaky sound and the sound disappears roughly after a minute, is this normal or something wrong?
  21. Do you know how to replace it, I heard you take out the radio and the digital clock to get to the A/C unit
  22. Hi are the light bulbs on the A/C unit dying out, or is there something else wrong with it?
  23. Mine are still going strong after all the abuse it's gone though, bass boost, loudness, equaliser settings all turned up, sounds fantastic though, shakes every mirror, best stock stock sound system I have heard from any car.
  24. I usually can't hear it when i'm on the road and music is playing, i also went back to the shop that installed the headunit, they said that its because its in AUX mode that's why it's making that noise, on the other modes you can slightly hear it but when it's really turned up, but the shop wasn't any help, so i'll leave it for now not bothering me that much. By the way does your factory tweeters up on the dash work because after replacing my headunit my dash tweeters no longer works?
