Yay Justin. Finally! The msg I got from Toyota Australia rep, and it's on my voice mail, is that my car is at the dealers, having tinting, etc. done. Not what tracking says though. I'll go with tracking and be surprised if I get an early call.

OMC! Heard from Toyota Australia today. And finally some action. Turns out my dealer's stock controller really didn't know about the tracking system. I used Twitter and got a very fast response from Toyota. They followed up with my dealer. Now I don't need to talk to my salesmen until pick up day.

I would also be interested in reading the response to this question. I don't have mine yet, but I always get better than the advertised L/100km with my cars.

I would've liked the park assist too. I'm committed to a minimum of 4 years and then I'll have a guaranteed trade-in value through Toyota. I figure they should've ironed out the kinks by then if I'm still hooked.

I ran into the teal/white one bought at my dealer, this week, at local Maccas. It is a beautiful colour. So there'll be at least 2 in my small town.

St first they told me that tracking wasn't available at the moment. I'll wait and see what happens. Was your stock number on your contract or did dealers give it to you. Mine hand sure doesn't seem to know what the other is doing, that's for sure. At least you can watch yours now. 👍🏻😁👍🏻

I got a call from Toyota today and they're now following up with my local dealer. The user name is Toyota and the order # (without the 3 zeros) is the other number. You only get this number after production starts though.

Yeah my guys claim to have "no idea" what I'm talking about with tracking. I contacted Toyota Australia on Twitter to ask and they've asked for my contact number to call me. Hopefully I get something soon.

I know some things are unavoidable, but I just wish they wouldn't say things that obviously aren't true. Hopefully we both get our tracking details on Monday.

When I contacted my dealership about tracking details, they basically made me feel like an annoyance for asking. Then today I got email saying the delivery date has been pushed back to 17th July. I mean what a bloody surprise. Not! I'm at the point now where I have my doubts that I'll get the stupid car before Christmas. All the excitement has been leached out now, and I guess I'll get it when I get it, and just not bother them any more. The only reason I'm not tossing in the towel is because I don't want to go back to square 1 after waiting 3 mths already. I think I'll be choosing a different dealer to get my services done though. I haven't felt like a valued customer, more a hindrance. Rant over. 😕

That's excellent news Justin. Seeing I was told production would start today & they said they'd keep me in the know, I will call tomorrow if I haven't heard from them. What should I be asking for with the tracking details?

Looked at my contract over the weekend, delivery date was also blank. I will wait until they tell me it's started this week, then ask for the tracking details. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻 for this week.

There's no way I'm changing my mind after waiting this long. I don't think I've EVER waited so long for a material possession in my life. Someone picked up their Bumblebee Koba at my dealership during the wk so I guess I'll start seeing hers around soon. Here's hoping we both get them soon. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Still no definite delivery date. They rang today and said production is due to start next Thursday and I should receive it by the end of June. But I am sceptical. It was going to take 2 mths when production was going to be May, so how is it supposed to happen in 1 mth now?!? This timeline would suit me as I will have finished writing my student reports, it'll be my bday, and I'll have 2 aka school holidays to play!! But... 🤷🏼‍♀️

Nice Mr H, very nice. I got told on Monday that my production date has been pushed back to June 1st which I was grumpy about. Dealer claims that I should still have it by the end of June.

Got to test drive again, but on my own, for about 90 mins today. I rang and said you've already sold me one but I'd really like another drive. They said all good, come in. Then when I went in the sales manager said do you mind taking it by yourself, we're short-staffed. Take it for as long as you want, just return by 5pm. BONUS!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻 Was enough time to really test a range of things that the regular half hour with salesman usually isn't. Merging speed/power (plenty), back seat room (fine if not behind me), comfort of driver's seat (really good lumbar support), braking (stops on a dime), voice control for phone calls (needs work), Bluetooth connection with my iphone (music doesn't go very loud), all round vision (back and sides for me were fine, front with mirror a little restricted, but I got used to it), cruise control (will need to get used to stalk instead of steering wheel control, and I think the lowest speed might be 45kph), LDA (love when it turns the wheel to put you back on track). I even wondered about the size difference in comparison to my current car. It's a bit taller, wider and longer. And it has better clearance for driveways. It dwarves my car slightly. I do like the driving seat height which is higher. And I checked that it definitely had artist and song with music through Bluetooth. Still in love!

So exciting that you have a definite date Justin. I'm not sure about the bluetooth info. Hopefully it does.
