  1. to remove the headunit, there are 2 screws holding it down. to get to it u must remove the air vents just below the headunit. after that remove the 2 bolt screws and the head unit should just come out. then reach in behind the cluster and find the "OD" thing, its a white tube looking thing. u have to press something on it to release it. after that it should be a piece of cake. oh btw. take ur time when ur removing the screws.. u dont want to lose it
  2. hrmm im guessing ur talking about the ae112r models yeah? i dont understand what u meant by "OD is wire driven". I've taken out the cluster quite a few times, its basically a screw off procedure besides the exception of the white tube like thing behind the instrument cluster which is only accessible by removing the headunit space. Then just remove the 4 wiring loom and thats it. twist of the bulb holders and replace bulb. hope that helps. If u need photos then i'll provide them.. as im planning to change the bulbs again anyways.
  3. anyone here upgraded their front breaks? i just want some recommendations and a price range.
  4. hehe im from brissie too.. anyways heres a pic of my car... still need a side skirt. The visible cosmetics u can see is the levin front lip, 17's, low kings and eyelids. have a few other lil mods here n there.. but too lazy to take photos :P oh btw.. its not easy finding spare 2nd parts for our models.. and if u want to buy it from toyota then prepare to leave behind a limb
  5. good to see another ae112.. anyways, imo its not worth doing any performance (power) mods to the 7afe. lower it and put a body kit on it and change ur exhaust system and air filter if u need more power to climb up the hills I'd rather have a slow car that looks good rather than a car with mods that is still slow. When you get enough money do an engine swap. just my thoughts.
  6. try using 3M double sided tape and make sure u give it a good clean before you stick it on. go to an auto shop like autobarn and ask the people there.. they should be able to assist u
  7. yeah i got it from an australian ebay (private seller). well worth $55 :D In Europe, they call our model E11 or corolla reg R (both still vary between the bug eyes and the face lift) , the difference is that they are mostly a 3 door hatch instead of 4 like ours and they look so nice it makes me envy of them. Anyways.. I've been trying to search eBay uk for items for our model here is some of the results. I don't know if this will fit ours (oops i just released u had a sedan) because its a hatch and it doesn't specify how many doors. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-Corolla-Hatch...VQQcmdZViewItem some aluminum rings for your dials, a bit expensive. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-Corolla-E11-9...VQQcmdZViewItem
  8. i got the levin front spoiler, mudflaps, and the 4 piece side skirt kit off ebay for $50+$25 postage (got the postage refunded cos the package was sent to the wrong place, 15mins drive to pick it up). It was indeed a lucky find cos toyota quoted $268 for the levin lip alone. I'm now looking for the foglight kit too, have no idea where to get it from besides toyotas as you dont see many ae112 in wreckers.
