  1. My new to me 07 Aurion alarms from the parking sensors every time I back out of my driveway, the slope is minimal and it sounds like it is only coming from one side so I am guessing one of the pick-ups is misaligned. Is there a way to fix this? Also the parking sensors only alarm when I am almost touching another vehicle, my old Aurion had more leeway so I was maybe 30 centimeters from another object, again is there an adjustment I can do or do I need to get Toyota to adjust this?
  2. Fitted new rotors and brake pads and the shuddering stopped.
  3. Hey Metal_Head yes I ignored 3 letters from Toyota before my car spat the oil line and they still replaced it under warrantee so if they are asking you should go get it done.
  4. Will do, I'll get a good look at them tomorrow when the tire guy has the wheels off
  5. So the new to me 2007 Aurion has a new trick, on the expressway it is smooth as silk but as you decelerate at round-abouts or stop signs the steering wheel begins to shake, it is quite a violent action too, as i have had the wheel balanced yesterday and the alignment seems fine I am guessing the rotors or pads are deformed. Ordered a new set $200 for rotors and not sure about price for pads but my mechanic is buying them for me so I will get them at trade price. As I like doing my own mechanic I will fit them myself, hopefully that will cure this nasty shaking.
  6. I decided not to worry too much about the sticky dash on my 2005 Aurion and spent $10 on a dash mat from China which fitted perfectly, I have swapped that mat into the 2007 Aurion I have just purchased, hey the car is 13 years old, it's my work transport so I'm not too worried as the mat takes away the sticky window reflection.
  7. Aliexpress do an engine and cabin filter combination for about $30 which is pretty cheap.
  8. My 2005 Aurion blew that oil pipe on the way to work, car had to be trucked to toyota dealer who replaced the part under warrantee (I was the 3rd owner) and valeted the car for free. I was most impressed, however I have just bought a replacement Aurion and need to find out if it has been done or not, Toyota did the recall here in New Zealand.
  9. Hi peoples, I have just bought my second Toyota Aurion, the first one drowned in a flood we had here in NZ in November and as I loved that car so much I just went out and bought another one sight unseen over the phone. The old one (which is tearfully still sitting in my driveway waiting for the tow truck guys to remove for the insurance company) was a 2005, lovely car, leather, power everything, sun roof, mags pretty pale blue colour...hang on tearing up as I type. Anyhow replacement is a 2007, has a few extras like backing camera and satellite navigation, strangely enough the old one had a tow ball that was rated 2000 kgs and came from under the car, this one the tow ball is rated 3500 kgs and pokes out from the rear plastic panel? Anyway I digress, when driving to work this week in Aurion MK2 the navigation drove off the expressway and across the paddocks! I of course was not following it as I was still on the road but obviously the navigation has not upgraded over the years. I did some light shopping for some upgrades and $360 is the going rate. Is there some way to get my navigation upgraded to 2020 without emptying my wallet?
