congrats on purchasing the navigator, but seriously since when do NOKIA start making maps..... I think the only way to upgrade is to pay.

just be careful when using the incar charger thru the cigarette plug (their not designed for charging), worse thing that can happen is blow out a fuse (happened to me once).

get platinum, as they last longer (80,000-100,000km) so even though you're paying abit more for the product, @ the end you'll end up paying less.

lol.....there are hundreds of dealerships in sydney! i guess you just have to look around yourself and compare them yourself. Im guessing if you look somewhere South of sydney, the price there should be cheaper, not much.

what type of transmission are you planning to get? also how many door?

was the car stable and smooth at 130?

last time when i when i went to wollongong, travelled 120kph all the way. going there was abit windy (The Echo, weighing only 850kg + myself) , driving it straigiht was pretty hard. But once I got items in the trunk (weighing more than 40kg) it handles abit better @ high speed.

yeah sounds pretty good to me, especially considering you got the optional safety pack. that itself it an extra $750.

Has anyone done much highway travel in a Yaris? I have just taken a new job which will result in a bit of travel to and from work (in excess of 100km each way) almost all of which will be on highways or motorways and I am considering a Yaris (for fuel economy). Has anyone had any expereience? How does a Yaris handle at 110kmh for long stretches? Any cabin noise issues?

I travel quite alot everyday on my the echo, cabin noise can be noise on the highways, but fuel consumption is great! if you're doing alot of talking while driving then you might consider getting a different car. LOL... but if you put some sound deadener on the wheel arches it should keep it down abit.

last friday I went and saw Cloverfield with my brothers... and 30mins into the movie I walked out! (got a full refund) I got sick (dizzy) within the first 5mins of the movie.

So yeah if you guys haven't seen the movie and easily get dizzy (or motion sickness) would not recommend you seeing on the BIG SCREEN! just wait till comes out on dvd and watch it on a small tv :D

thats ok, you can add it yourself. The Optional Safety Pack is $600. But really its worth investing in the safety pack, especially for a small car. Other than that the stock YRX looks hot!

UPDATE! I went back and got the 06 YRX yesterday

$21,400 for the 08 yrs + my trade in wasnt very worth it to me. it was like giving the dealer my car for free <_< i didnt want to wait 1-3months for it to arrive either.

i managed to get the 06 yrx for $17,000 with no trade in at all. im very happy with my yrx. im so in love with it! im like totally paranoid on the road though, thinking some idiot is jsut going to hit in to me and drive off (happened with my old car ). or leaving it at the shopping car parks and it would get scratched or get a dent from someone opening their door and not caring its perfect for me although seeing the blind spots are HORRIBLE. i cant see them at all.

so $17k how many kms has it done???

the yaris has a high reselling price at the moment. If I was in your position I would definitely get the YRX, looks better/sportier and has more features. I'm swapping my car with the yaris this year...hopefully after my birthday! :D
