  3. i've got a touring series Gen 4 camry. As far as i have researched it has some kind of upgraded suspension over standard. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me exactly what the difference is please?

Touring has firmer springs (standard height) and Bilstein developed shocks/struts as where a standard gen 4 has Monroe shocks/struts. The other main difference is the Touring has a 17mm rear sway bar and the standard only a 15mm, both have a 17mm front sway bar.

What colour are the springs currently fitted to your gen 4? Yellow=Kings, Red=Pedders, Blue=Lovells and Black=most likely original.

  4. Australian gen 3 & 3.5 have the 3vz-fe with the same output, the US gen 3 had the 3vz-fe and the 3.5 was updated to a 1mz-fe. We didnt get the 1mz-fe until the gen 4. I believe that there is only a 5kW difference between the 3vz & 1mz being 136 v 141 stock.

  5. Go and see these people as they make the most of the bushes that Pedders would use anyway

Also the rear engine mount is not hydraulic, the front one is thou. Will only need an insert, but RH drive shaft needs to be removed as it goes through engine mount bracket.

I would recommend that you replace the rear struts/shocks at the same time.

There are NO radius rods in the Camry suspension so I would question what they have quoted you there.

What you have listed is a big job that is probably best left to a workshop/mechanic to do as they will have a host + hydraulic press.
