All the info is in the 1st post. It displays the speed, and time (when under 10km/h). Other features include alarm clock, speed attention & warning (adjustable), and brightness & volume adjustments. And no the shift light seen in the pics is not included. if i buy a 16v or 20v long motor from jap importers, wont i still need to work the internals?? or can the engine handle the turbo? also does the 20v simply slip straight in... no mucking around and changing engine mounts n ****? wat i was going to do with my car was.. keep the 7afe and do the cams.. full exhaust system from engine and then turbo.. and if my engine goes does the track.. then get a 20v.. because atm my engine is like brand new from the shop.. its running perfect.. i got my car of an old guy (bout 80yrs) and he bought it from toyota brand new and never changed gears over 2.5 rpm so its still good...

really... wouldnt it be cheeper to do up my engine? 7AFE? also its bigger capacity.. allowing for bigger turbo and more boost?? am i right? or wrong?

just how much do you think i can get a half cut of a ae101 gze and where the hell would i find one??? dw bout labour costs i'll be doing all the work myself

hi guys, i was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out, i've got a 7afe 1.8L in my ae102r and i was originaly thinking of swaping for a silvertop 20v. i would eventually be turbo'ing the engine and i was thinking if anyone ha advise on which engine would be better to do up, all internals and turbo and front mount etc. would the 7afe be better and its a 1.8L (bigger capacity) and able to have a bigger turbo andhold more boost?? or is the silvertop better as it has 4 extra valves? yet it is a smaller capacity engine.. please do help!!! i need to spend my cash on my car's engine before my girlfriend knows i have that large amount!! ahhahahahaha thanks guys

Hi guys im looking into getting HID's for my 97 ae102r, but also looking into getting projector lights or angel eyes, if i get the HID's now and then later get the projector lights, would the HID's fit it? or what do i do? is anyone able to help please??? thanks

hi guys i was just wondering if any1 knows how far you can push the 1.8L (7AFE) ae102r past redline to get max speed outa 1st and 2nd??? or if not.. wheres the best place to change?

yeh would be good.. best times for me is tuesday nights..maybe monday nights.. or weekends afta like 1.. 2 am as i have work.. :(

if i was to get a 4age 20 silvertop... what do i need to do apart from dropping the engine and box in?

Unless there has been an engine swap, you have an AE102r, not a 101r. There is a difference. 20V 7AGEs use the standard 4AGE 16V timing belt. 16V 7AGEs use the Porsche belt whats the difference????? i always thought my car was a ae101r???? 1997 corolla seca rv? also wat does the "r" stand for in ae101r and ae102r ...?

but isnt it easier and cheeper to just swap heads??? and also the 4age 20v is a 1.6L isnt it? me putting a 20v head on the 7afe would make it a 1.8L 20v right? giving me more power than a 4age 20v? correct me if im wrong please as it would help me with my project.. im very confused lol

Hi there guys.. i've got a ae101r with the 7afe engine. just wondering if the 20v engine cylinder head will fit onto my bottom end block??? or do i have to swap the whole engine?

how late? i work friday nights til about 1am... lol.. we should wait til holidays come around so we can organise on weeknights so more people can come out!

yeh yeh thats so tru.. b'coz carlton isnt so bad.. its like 20min 30min max drive for me.. which is ok.. but when theres events like out west like dandi its like 45mins or more i dnt really know but its not worth it..
