  1. If ur going too slow for the gear that u are in, isn't that a clucking noise rather than chirping?
  2. All I can say is take it to another Dealer. I dealt with Peter Warren when I first got my car which is more than 2 years ago. I had so much problems with my car which i think was due to their incompetency. They will fix something and something else would be broken. One of the guys there even told me that I shouldn't be revving my car above 6000K and that I was abusing my car so they refused to look at the sticky gear shift issue. The fix turned out to be adjustment of the clutch. I would never recommend those guys and if I was to take my car there for free services I wouldn't accept. They really don't know what they are doing and I even know things regarding the fixes and recalls that we had before they do. Seriously....I strongly recommend u take ur car back and don't let them touch ur car again. Reading ur post makes me think back at those days when I had so much problems with my car and it just pisses me off hearing that's its peter Warren. **** them!!!!
  3. Hey guys. I just saw this post. Haven't spent much time on the forum lately. I'm definitely up for the meet even though I have a poker game with the boys. I'm gonna give the poker game a miss and join u guys. I'm in the Cabra area so any one from Cabra who's going we can meet up before hand. Prob at Krispy Kreme and then head off from there. PM me. Cheers
  4. Those pics are actually taken of my car. I'm proud to say that I'm the first to have this new CAI installed on any car :D . The pipe size is slightly larger than the Simota pipe. It is the same size as TRD CAI. So far it's been good. I'm gonna give it a few more weeks before I make any judgement.
  5. I've got this new pipe installed a few days ago. Changed it from the Simota one. As far as I can tell at the momet it is much smoother than the Simota one. I don't have a good pod filter for it yet. I'm sure a K&N filter or Apexi filter would make it much better. The price is OK as u can see it comes with K&N filter for $399. When u buy the TRD CAI people tend to change it to the K&N anyway. I'll take pics one day and show u guys. I will be testing this one out for a few weeks and will tell u guys what I think. Cheers
  6. Before anyone orders their intake kit, I know someone producing new intake kits for our rollas in the next few days. It will be considerably cheaper than the other brands. I will let u guys know how much it would cost within a week if u guys can wait that long. Cheers
  7. If u talking about a sizzle or rattle noise when accelerating then I have that problem too. Been like that for ages. I just can't be bothered anymore. <_<
  8. OK the scraping noise may be normal but I have this rattle/ sizzle noise when accelerating from 2000 RPM onwards all the way to 6000RPM. It sounds like a pinging noise but I know it's not pinging. It's getting louder and louder. Toyota took a look at it and they say it's characteristic of the car. This noise was apparent before but it was fixed ages ago. Now since getting the gear selector cable replaced again the problem came back. The last time the problem was with a rubber seal related to the gear selector cable that was not secured which cuased a vibration. This time I advised the warranty manager of this and he says that they checked it all and said it was all good....."characteristic of the car". So now I'm stuck with this sizzling noise. :(
  9. I just got my car back from service today and I raised the issue again with them. I get the same scraping noise when gearing down which I posted numerous topics dating back more than a year ago. I also get a rattle/sizzle noise when accelerating. It's been raised about 10 times at 2 different dealers and none have a solution. The final comment was ....................."characteristc of the car!" Guess I'll have to deal with it <_< Goodluck with getting urs fixed ;)
  10. Sorry...I was talking about the wrong light...I was noticing the oil light. Why is that on????
  11. I haven't noticed this on my car. From my prev experience with other cars I thought this light comes on if u are running low on oil. It's an oil light....not a fuel light. I may be wrong as each car is different.
  12. For the first time I experienced this problem today. I was so scared it was going to stall in peak hour traffic. How come I seem to get all the problems around here??? Idle drops below 500RPM and shakes a bit and goes back up above 1000RPM and then drops again. The needle just rocks up and down several times. There also seems to be a very strong burning eggy smell as well and I didn't drive it hard. I've never had this problem before!!! This car is driving me nuts!!! Has anyone got it fixed yet and what did Toyota say?
  13. I bought my car from Warren Toyota in Liverpool. I've had so many disputes with them trying to get things fixed. Simple things like changing gear selector cables takes for ever and numerous times of bringing it back coz they didn't do it properly not to mention stuffing it up or stuffing something else up. They have no idea how to fix anything!!! They are just hopeless!!! After trying to get things fixed one at a time I thought I would raise the issue with the crunching of gears when trying to shift at high revs. Had a fight with the d!ckhead customer service guy there telling me that it's ridiclous driving it past 6000RPM. "I'm abusing my car" he says. He basically told me to p!ss off. I had enough of there poor service anyway so I took my car down to Western Toyota and in a few hours my clutch pedal was adjusted. They also knew about the issue and everything was sorted including my LCD climate control panel was replaced even though I didn;t even mention that it was faulty. I wouldn;t go anywhere else. These guys really know what they are doing and look after you. I highly recommend that you service your car there. I;ve said it before and I'll say it again WESTERN TOYOTA ROCKS! ;)
  14. Ask Shao...He riced his car up with one. :P
