  3. Day job for a dash out? Which dealer did you send it too? Its not a day job to remove the dash...the whole dash out - dash in job should take no more than 3-4hrs tops Min took a day and a half at Sydney City Toyota alan
  4. I bought a Honda Accord Euro Luxury with Sat Navigation. There isn't a single rattle in this car at all and there is no guess how well this one is put together not to mention the quality materials in it. But Kudo's to Toyota Australia for finally ending my 10month nightmare. Details on exactley what transpired at the end are confidential but lets just say i am a happy man, finally.   8. Does it sound like its the very front of the dash? Mainly on rougher roads? kinda sounds like the dash is hitting the windscreen? Yes that is it Its worse also when cold Toyota are doing them allnow if you have the road test first alan
  9. had the car road tested Toyota have issued a recall on all cars with a certain type of rattle ( mine has it) It is due to the clips that hold the dash to firewall expanding and then the dash is free to dance about So its a two day dash out for job mine alan
  10. Is the respray going involve taking the bumper off I was quoted 500 with the bumper off also to re rust proof the front of the chassis rails as this was removed as well funny as I was given corrolla as a loan car did not scrape on my steep drive way at all!!!

When I lived in the Uk my company had 4 lexus IS250s Three of them had rattles that were never rectified in spite of having had the dashes out etc ..one car was returned for a full refund!this is a lexus toyota problem that really lets the brand down ...even my son's 18 K suzuki swift is rattle free!! alan
  13. Hi Well after 6 months of quiet motoring my dash has developed the dreaded rattle I phoned the dealer and was told there are two rattle fixes one is on a recall , I think. They said they will road test and if it is one type, its dash out and two day jopb else its a small job ( an hour at most)anyone had similar experience alan
  14. the aurion uses a different type of oil filter... the casing is re-usable, so why you would damage that if you didnt absolutely have to is beyond me... Lol. I'd love to see someone manage to shove a screwdriver through the oil filter cap on the Aurion. Speaking of which though, you if you plan on doing the oil change yourself, you're best obtaining a cap-style oil filter wrench like this: http://www.toolsource.com/toyota-filter-wr...m-p-100298.html Thanks that is the part I looking for will order one alan
