  1. Repcos selling cheap reclining bucket seats for $278 a pair and it says that their adr approved. So if i source a spare set of corolla rails then they are already approved yes? all i need to do is get an enginer to mod them onto it? So does it still need all that paperwork and if so anyone got an idea on how much?

  2. Hey mate, I bought mine second hand with 65k on the clock, 2004 model, it already had the clutch pedal adjusted and the only problem ive had is that i couldnt SMACK 2nds at 8k, 7.5k fine but not 8k, recently i got the gearbox oil changed and only rarely am i not able to shift at 8k. If i take the shift normal from 1st to 2nd it pops in fine.

Besides that ive got the gear selector cable rattle which is not really noticeable unless your really pedantic and most people end up putting a system in their car so they cant hear it anyway.

Other than that all i can say is, its the best fun lil pocket rocket you can get, i had a choice between this and a 99 model rex running 15 pound and i chose this, y? because its cheap on fuel, they are reliable and it will shock you with the amount of fun and power you can get out of these. Itll be the best investment youve ever made.

    p.s. buy a black one :P

  3. This has turned into a very informative topic.

So what have i learnt so far,

    1. Definently go 2.5' cat back on a system that has proven gains such as CES. if moneys a problem, go 2.5' anyway although it wont be as good as CES.(Only applies to N/A stivos, otherwise 1zz max should be 2.25"

    2. Change the muffler as well, something not twin loop (but from what ive read on this forum, any aftermarket exhaust sounds too loud on these cars?)

    3. No need to worry about changing the cat seeing as price wise it has minimal gains and its pretty good from the start.

    4. Change/port the headers

Anything else Im missing??? Just to sum it up for any new readers as well?

  4. Thanks guys, so really there shouldnt be any difference in performance where i get the 2.5 inch from (as its pretty much just a pipe), but seeing as sinan reckons livos got pre made kit i might as well go there and get it(its close to home)

In regards to sb post "add headers and CAI and it is totally non existent" are you referring to the torque hole is non existent or with just cai and headers it doesnt make much improvement without cat back.

Also can you use the stock stivo muffler or its not really worth doing cat back without changing the muffler, from reading around this forum i was thinking twin loop seeing as supposebly there pretty quiet until u push it. I just want something with a little noise at low revs instead of the tingy motor sound before i push it and hit lift.

    Once again thanks guys

  5. Fair enough, u can delete this if im not allowed to mention who, but it was liverpool exhaust and the guys owns 2 stivos. So i thought me might have known what he was talking about, he reckoned he's tried everything on his stivo. But seeing as your cars a beast.... and after speaking xoom and him saying 2.1/4 not really worth spending on and HIS BEAST.lol i guess i might go 2.5

    Thanks northy

p.s if anyone clicks other, please mention what size you got done.

  6. Hey guys, just curious on what size piping the majority of you guys got cat back on you sportivos.

Im thinkin 2 1/4 after hearing from exhaust place that with 2.5 itll have 3kw xtra gain top end but be a little bit laggy lower end. And seeing as the sportivos arnt really torque monsters id rather not have any more lag down low.

    Thanks guys

  7. Hi guys, im trying to find those tinted slimline window visors off ebay, ive looked up corolla, and runx and whateva our car is refered to overseas but all that pops up is "03 - 06 corolla visors" or "03 - 07" visors and i dont know if there for our model corolla here in oz.

Any ideas? or anyone selling any at all located in sydney??

    Thanks guys

  8. Hello once again, Quick few questions.

All the bolts are only threaded into the holes right? theres no nuts behind each bolt that could fall off if im not careful?

And as i was saying in a previous post, if i would just add 8 guage to all the originals (no using 4 guage, and keep the originals) i should see the same benefit correct? seeing as ive added extra wire anyway?

Also, ive been browsing the net and come across the BIG 3, and from what i read it recommends that the active from the Alternator to the Battery should be done as well.... anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks

  9. Hi guys, Went toyota today toget spark plugs for my 04 rolla stivo.

Guy at the counter gave me 3 options

    Standard:sk20rll $16

    Iridium Power:IK20 $19

better Iridium Ones:VK20 (which they dont sell, he said supercheap and such should sell them)

So off i went to supercheap

They had no idea on the codes from toyota so they had a little look in there service book and came up with these

Bosch F8-4 Platinum & Iridium (Bosch Platinum Fusion)

    FGR6DQI

On the back it states 1,6mm

Are they right for my car? Anyone used them before?

P.s they cost me around $85

  10. Hi guys, just bought the whiteline rear sway bar and got it installed, plus i already had the whiteline front strut. Besides that the car (04 corolla sportivo) is stock suspension wise. Just curious, will a front sway bar make a big difference for road use? Im quite happy with the improvement the rear sway has made with less body roll around corners, now im wondering if i should buy the front sway?? Any tips or advice?

  11. Dude if ur in sydney go to liverpool exhaust, the guy owns 2 stivos and i got mine from there, i could not be more happy.Mad sound and looks pretty good. Professional job, from what i can remember its 280 for the cai, or 350 installed.
