Hey guys, Name's Jon from WA and I've been lurking around in this forums for sometime now but I havent opened many threads yet. I drive a pre-FL stivo but now my car is due for the 80,000 kms major service. I drove into New Town Toyotas and they quoted me a whooping $800 bucks to service the car! Was wondering if its the normal price for a major service because I wasn't expecting the service to be in tht range at all. Anyone could introduce me to another workshop that services our stivos for a cheaper price?? Theres' so many things wrong with my car atm. The stereo stopped working for no apparent reason. I hear funny sounds from my tyres when I brake. Unusual jerking when i tried shifting to 2nd gear and 3rd as well. Idling problems from my CAI when i first start my car up. A freaking big dent on my rear bumper thats need fixing! not to mention i need new threads. Its scary drifting around in the rainy season. Yea, I'd rather have someone who knows how to deal with our Toyota stivos. Doing this at a Toyota SC would cost a bomb. Would be great if someone would give me some advice. Cheers!

Does anybody have this gear crunching problem with their sportivo?? my gears been really rough when changing btwn gears especially to reverse and first to 2nd gear..my friends celica have the same problem but he says all 6 sp gearboxes are like that so im not too sure if its a normal thing or my gearbox fault. Anyone knows how to fix it?? its really annoying cos its hard to land lift into 2nd gear with all tht crunch.. PS: i did a search b4 but cant find anything helpful =)

yea i do have the number. 92579100 60k and 70k is the minor service..80k been the major one.

so basically i should just let the car roll over the puddle instead of gassing it pass?? i mean the the cai is just at the btm of the fog lights..shouldnt even a short step of the pedal suck up air when u cross the puddle..i dunno ..just a thought

I did my 60k service at Kalamunda Toyotas..Overall was quite a good experience..customer-friendly and i'd say quite cheap as well ..changed filter oils, gasket, the usual engine oil and etc. altogether for $195. only thing thats to complain about is they didnt keep stock spare parts for stivo cos i neeeded new brake pads.. Anyway went to the other toyota SC just off welshpool rd, cant really remember the name..They were even better than Kalamunda's..changed brakepads, wipers and smoothen/polish my rotors due to worn out brakepads Was darn surprised they didnt charge me for it..altogether i paid like $110 for the lot. Wouldnt mind going back there for my 70k service
