  1. I would have to say that most of the CAI's listed in the sticky post "CAI/SRI buyers guide" mentioned by spillige would provide similar gains from 7kw-10kw atw.

The trd Cai is made for the american version of the corolla and it fits but it's not as good a fit as say the CES Cai.

  2. I have 18's lowered on Cusco Zero 2's.

    18x7.5

    +42 offset

225/35r18 and no scrubbing, only when i Full lock turning left due to the right wheel arch having an extrusion near the front end.

I don't get any problems other than the slight scrub on the left turn full lock. No touching with tyres on body while hard cornering etc.

Oh another thing to consider is the cost of rubber haha. I'm getting new rubber now and I'll tell you some prices

    Yokohama S Drive $390

    Toyo T1R $350

    Falken FK-452 $310

    Bridgestone Re001 225/40r18 coz they don't have 225/35r18 $380

Here are some old pictures. I know the quality is low but it was taken on my N95 lol.

As you can see it's kinda low. That is the factory set height of the zero2's. I'm sure I could maybe go a bit lower but it'd probably scrub before the full lock.

Plus I'm Happy with the height. If you want I'll take a picture of the car with a Can of coke as reference to height.

  3. Sweet I was looking at these tyres along with T1R and S drives, can't get Re001 for my profile.

And coz many people have said they're all similar I'm happy to say that these are my next set of tyres coz for 225/35r18

    THEY ARE VERY PRICEY :(

  4. How about cruise to Sugar Loaf plenty of turns and up hill runs. Could have a bbq, photo and do a bit of walk around, its open view and great way to drive.

this scenario sounds good....can utilise the copious amounts of torque our cars have up the hills lol ;)

Lol, well lets just cruise so I can test out my new Sussy setup :)

  5. Another thing we all noted was what seemed like a lack of "Vtec yo" from the hondas.....the sportivos you really saw the incline on the dyno chart....the hondas didnt seem to show too much of a jump more linear.......please honda lovers dont flame me...lol...just what we noticed from the 4-5 vtec hondas on the day

Yeah i've got to second this, all the civics, the 2 dc2's and the 2 dc5's all had linear graphs :(

  6. Mate no arguments here about the difference in Dyno's. Most of the Corolla's from this forum up here have been done on CES' dyno which is an old Bosch inertia dyno. No computer, just put the car on the rollers, accelerate and the pen plots your graph. Is Guni's car a prefacelift?? Cause the only Sportivo's I have ever seen make tha kind of power were before the ECU recall on the prefacelift's and Superdave's car which had a fault. The air diffuser in the airbox wasn't fitted properly and robbed him of quite a bit of power from memory. Most of the modifed sportivo's up here make between 110 and 125kw depending on mods. There is a huge variance between stocko's as we proved very quickly. Most stocko's run between say 107kw to as high as 115kw!! Azza's car stock as put out 112kw i think from memory on a warm day up here. Kolorhero's car is pretty much on the money for his mods with your colder climate than we have but for stocko's being low as they were does make the mind boggle a bit. Azza added a TRD CAI and CES catback and pushed 121kw on a warm spring day in shootout mode on Dyno dynamics dyno. I compared CES' dyno to a dyno dynamics dyno that i also get work done at and the difference was exactly 2kw higher on the dyno dynamics dyno.

Maybe next year at the National meet in Melbourne we can have a dyno day somewhere. Be pretty interesting me thinks!!

Yeah at the melbourne national meet next year I'll have most of the engine mods done then and that dyno day just for stivo's etc will really show what the variance is really at. Can't wait hehe.
