Was a very successful and enjoyable meet and greet. Lets make this a monthly occurance :D.
-
Looks like it'll be a nice turn out :D
-
hey kenji do you wanna shift like this??Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!
I used to be able to. But now I can't, and it's only 1st -> 2nd, I can drive like that from 2nd -> 3rd and onwards. Guess it's the clutch and it's time to change to exedy HD because many others with this same problem had it fixed when they upgraded their clutch.
-
I fitted mine with whitestivo and for some reason.. im not impressed!
Maybe I'm not as impressed as I thought I would be but it could be because I already had a pod attached with some piping giving it air so the difference wasn't as big!! Plus I have exhaust modification so it was already sounding pretty mean!
overall.. i dont regret it but for some reason, i thought I would have been more impressed lol
any opinions?
Because you already had an exhaust I reckon that you were already used to it. But now I'm sure there is more power you just have to dyno it to give you the real figures.
-
I guess I'll just live with it for now and when I'm at 110,000km then I'll get a exedy HD clutch and hope for the best. From reading all the posts on the forum about the sticky 1st -> 2nd shifting I'm just going through what everyone has stated.
-
really want to see what people have to say about this topic. and also if anyone has got trd headers sitting around throw me a pm as ive been looking around for a 2nd hand set for over 6 months.
If Spotio decides to sell parts separately he has the TRD manifold on his car and it's 4-2-1

I didn't touch the pedal, just measured everything and it was like it stated it should be in the link. But yeah with 2 days of wear with the new RP maxgear 75w90 gear oil, shifting from 1st to 2nd at 8krpm still is sticky and can't do it fast :(
I want it fixed so I can stay in the powerband :(
-
These are the first cases of oil leaks I've heard of on the sportivos or newer corollas for that matter. Maybe it's just unlucky I'm not sure but I believe Toyota's are built with a very high standard.
Hopefully they can find the source of the problem on your car blk_05_stivo and fix it before your warranty is over
-
Yeah I think everyone that was interested in this dyno day actually signed up for the GTcarclub one that's on the 5th
-
Oh maybe some ROIL could fix it also
-
I love my 18,000lt water tank too :D Can wash my Car anytime I want and how ever long I want
-
Next time come closer to the north east so I can join ya :P
-
Just paid $275 for my rear bumper (unpainted) about 2 weeks ago.
Where did you get yours from?
Im trying to source one aswell.
Me too, but I can wait till Sunday to ask Bigbum at the meet :D

Alright guys, I'd been able to maintain lift when I first got my corolla back in 04. The shift from 1st to 2nd was difficult so I took it to Toyota and it was fixed up. They must have adjusted the clutch and clutch pedal back then. Since 05 I haven't been lifting or trying to maintain lift and with the recent installation of the TRD CAI I got in the GB that just passed, I tried to do it and the 1st -> 2nd shift is so hard it's made it impossible to maintain lift. But maintaining lift 2nd -> 3rd and above is simple.
80,000km on the odo and I just changed my transmission oil to RP maxgear 75w90. Same problem but it's alittle smoother. Just checked the clutch pedal and pressure points and its all fine according to http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...ost&p=29995 :(
Could it be my synchros seeing that I can maintain lift from 2nd onwards? Time to upgrade to Exedy HD clutch? Or just need a mechanic to properly adjust the shifter cables and clutch etc?
Any advice would be great thanx. :)

I'm in Melbourne hehe so it landed in Melbourne first :D
Yeah drift is good. No point paying 5x the amount for a apexi one which does the same thing.

Xploshun for member of the month!! dude, you're probably responsible for half the CAI's in the forum. =)
x2 :D

Looks like we're gonna have a few 2ZZ's and 1ZZ's there, will be a good indication of how our cars fare in power :D
Hopefully it'll be an awesome day and a new experience for the ones who having been to a dyno before
That includes myself haha :P
-
I'm highly confident that they're the same but if you wanna check take it apart and see if it looks like this.
That my stock stivo shifter and twm confirmed that it will work. Lol look at the wires, shhhhhh I was abit lazy
-
yeah batteries will be a killer haha. Maybe get some lithium rechargable ones
-
I'm there, and for CB radio lol.
I have no idea which to buy. Oh wellz i'll get one after the first meet.
And yes definitely get some stickers. The .com ones don't look that nice
-
Nice to see toyota expanding and now succeeding in more competitions :D
-
I don't think many people painted the eyelids or grills themselves. They usually took them to a panel beater who can match your car color and got them to paint them. Usually doesn't cost much
about $30 for eyelids and $30 for the grill.
-
Sounds like lots of fun, maybe I should really take work off coz it'll be my first meet and greet.
And I don't think 3 hrs will be enough for me to do all that was suggested above hehe. Ok I'll take work off to have some fun :D
