  1. So I guess theres no way to stop it then, other then to drive "gently", its just not that sorta car hey. Oh well, my CBR F4i does 0-100kmh in under 3 seconds, that totally makes up for it, hahaha.
  2. Then what is it that making the car jolt around when the wheels begin to lose grip? Its like its stabbing the brakes repeatedly. My last car didnt even have ABS so I dont know much about this stuff.
  3. I went for a spirited drive today and discovered how violent the traction control can be on my zre152 Rolla, not fun. Does anyone know if there is a way to (briefly) turn it off? There is no off button. I have heard a story about someone whose car also did not have a TC off switch so he found the fuse and connected a kill switch to it. Surly there would be more than one thing running of one fuse, wouldn’t there? I doubt the computer would even start the motor without it on. Any other way it can be done?
  4. So what is the appropriate number of question marks for such a question? Whats wrong with Shift performance? (I'm not from Sydney, I'm just curious)
  5. Daft idea taking a modified car to Chaple st, just asking for cop trouble. Not to mention its quicker to walk around there then it is to drive, lol. Nice street, for people not motors.
  6. 1 of the cars in the list is owned by me. The rest are owned by family members (i.e. DAD) haha Is the Jag in top nic? 2.4lt or the 3.4lt? (I'm a classic car fan, baaa)
  7. Tayles, Do you REALLY own a 57 Jaguar MkI or is that a wish list?
  8. It just seems so wrong, if you’ve got a hard on for a WRX, get one, older examples and going cheap these days, why ruin a perfectly nice looking Rolla? It’s the scoop that looks so try-hard, not so much the bar. I guess it’s in fashion, how many VP, VN, VT and VY crummiedoors are going around with VZ or VE looking front ends, I hate them but they seem to be popular, around Melbourne anyway.
  9. Thats true, and all in all they do a good job. Really, are members of the force are watching these forums? Most people would know that one persons comments do not reflect that of everyone using the forum, everyone is entitled to there own personal opinion. Its not like we are all one entity , lol
  10. Hey while I think of it, there is a guy at my work who has a sportivo, I swear it has an old WRX front bar on it, seems to fit well, not terrible looking. Is there an aftermarket front bar for the previous model Rolla that looks totally WRX? Or has he actually fitted a Subie bumper onto his sportivo? Its got a bonnet scoop as well, lame.
  11. Did I say doshe? I meant to say intelligent and wise officer of the law
  12. Mad that sucks, pain in the ***** to meet a copper havin a bad day. My first, I had ONE blue neon on the back parcel shelf, the lady in front of me pulled over for whatever reason, a mad-as-a-cut-snake coppa (from a different suburb) saw it, pulled me over and claimed my BLUE 1996 Faclon looked like a cop car and that he COULD do me for impersonating police!! I was 18 at the time, running pizzas!! What a doshe.
  13. For all you Lara and Nukum fans, I hope its not to racy for this forum, if so moderators, moderate away.
  14. i hate that sticker! i rather go look for biiiladan in Afghanistan's deserts than having that stupid yellow sticker up my windscreen! The falcon used to be a cop magnet, 12 neons and LEDs all up, and a loud 2.5" pipe, back in the teen days. I still have my first yellow sticker, I swear the glue must have been crap, it just fell off by itself it did! you gotta love those glues lol.... What did they get you for?

  16. Indiana Jones can break into any tomb... You can have Indy, I have no problem with that... ... but aint you gonna be jealous when I have Lara Croft bent over fishing it out for me! Cmon, how old is Lara now? First apeared on the screen in 1996, lookin early-mid 20s? Now in her 30s, bit over the hill. (She IS a real person right? )
  17. Yea used to happen alot in my Falcon, I keep the white globes in the glove box so I can change them on the spot if a cop gets narkie. Usually gets me out of a canary sticker.
  18. Na no can do, its not inside the reflective part of the light, it’s between the reflective sheet and the outer casing, I can’t see it let alone fish for it. There is a gap between the hole and where the reflective bit starts, just big enough for a globe to fall though. Its gone. I’m not stressed about it, like I said, a 5 buck globe, who cares. But it could have been pricey one. People with a ZRE152 take care.
  19. Ahh Jones, is there anything that guy cant do? Forget superman, forget ghost busters, forget police, If I need help I'm calling the hero in the hat
  20. Yea its probably doable, but for a $5 LED it doesnt seem worth the bother of disassembling the front end, meh
  21. Just a reminder to anyone putting LED parker lights in their car, be sure they are secure. Even after reading the post by Cooley about the bulb falling into the headlight unit, I let it happen anyway, now it is entombed forever. Yes I’m an idiot . Luckily I have a few LED lights floating around so no big loss. After reading what Cooley went through, I don’t intend to retrieve it. Anywho, end result looks nice. Please be careful and learn from other peoples mistakes
  22. I had it done at Cheltenham Tyre Factory (1242 Nepean Hwy), ask for Ray, they will need the car all day. Yes the calipers had to come off, thats why I had them do it, I dont have the tools. It needs heat resistant paint, I got VHT caliper paint in "racing red", $16 from autobarn. I'm very happy with the end resault, looks great.
