  1. I haven't driven an Aurion before, but i have driven a commodore and new camry. From everything that the magazines have said about the camry, i was quite pleasantly surprised at it. It really wasn't as bad as what the media has made it out to be. The steering on the 'dore was heavy and slow, the gearbox wasn't that great and the engine was lazy and unresponsive. The camry even for a 4 cylinder was quite enjoyable, although it was a bit loud at higher revs. The steering was better than I expected. Quality between the two was probably so-so but more in favour of the Toyota. Against the BA falcon tho, both are miles ahead in my opinion. I can see why the Camry and Aurion sell so well. For those people who don't push their cars to the limits, Toyota's do the job bloody well.
  2. If its any consolation, I've found that the hand(foot)brake on our CX-9 doesn't hold either. It just rolls back. The cruiser on the other hand holds quite well. I forgot to take off the hand brake on the CX9 a few times and drove a couple of meters down the road until i realised. That might have been the reason it doesn't hold very well, but then again I've done that on the cruiser quite often as well, but its handbrake still holds.
  3. :( you guys are getting some pretty good fuel economy readings from your Klugers. I only wish we could come close to that with the CX-9. I've gotten it down to 10.9L/100km on the highway, but during normal suburban driving it averages around 13-14L/100km. I went on a 240km round trip with most of it uphill and averaged 14.4L/100km. All of this was done using 95 RON.
  4. Hey all, im new to the forums. I agree its pretty dear $500 per corner. We've got a CX-9 Luxury and its about $460 - $500 per corner as well. Im quite surprised as to why the less rubber you get the more expensive the tyres are.
