  4. Fastest car i've driven is my mr2. I dont drive many other peoples cars because i wont let them drive mine :P
  5. 20 in june. Hitting the big 2nd decade.
  6. I'm sorry for stating my opinion. But nothing looks WORSE than an sw20 without a spoiler. I will agree the gen1 spoilers suck, the gen2 and ultimately gen 3 are alot better without the side pieces
  7. Yeah we've pretty much summed it all up. Reason for my post was that i met a guy yesterday and he had an is200 (altezza) and an es300 (cressida). Anyway we were chatting and he said he found it hard to get parts for the is200, and i said try searching for toyota parts and he will more than likely strike luck. And he said no they use different parts, maybe sometimes the same engine etc etc and basically said toyota had nothing to do with lexus (which ultimately is what lexus are trying to make people think so people dont compare the two im guessing). Anyways to avoid contention i basically said, that lexus use the toyota chassis/body, interior and most of running gear for their cars. All thats different is the materials on the panels inside (they use leather from farms without barbed wire fences so the leather is better hahahaha), the badges, the lights and the wheels. And of course all the luxury features like heated seats, traction control, parking assist and all that crap. And they have different glass and more layers of paint, lightened bolts that save 9kg in total and all that crap (must be to compensate for the extra sound proofing they put in). He went to great lengths to tell me that it was a toyota. I'd say a good 80-90 percent of that vehicle, was, in fact a toyota. It's kind of like saying a holden nova isnt a toyota corolla. Or a Honda jazz isnt a hyundai getz (or vice versa, whichever way it is around).
  8. If i was to put anything with my oil it would be "roil" magical stuff
  9. lexus is a division of toyota last time i heard. Most of their cars are beefed up toyotas. Aristo, celsior, landcruiser, altezza, cressida etc All have a lexus equivalent. I have noticed recently though, that they have indepent cars now. The only one i've noticed still the same is the landcruiser and the lexus equivalent. However...as different as the cars may be getting from each other. Lexus is still an arm of toyota based on luxury. So saying that lexus aren't the same as toyota is farfetched
  10. It's good to see only the decent guys have shifted over. I Always loved the 3 MPS. Yours is sexxxxxy in black. Next time we have a dyno day you have to bring it. You can have the quietest car award again haha
  11. Heres my mr2, pretty stock at the moment, But soon i plan to have it lowered on 17 inch wheels, and some other small things to make it look good, then i hope to do some mild upgrades engine wise. All i've done so far is added a HKS panel filter, a kenwood head unit, sony splits and infinity cappa 6x9's. And a random boost gauge in a random gauge holder that im pulling out. My future plans are as said, 17" wheels, replacing the hks panel with an apexi power intake, putting an amplifier of some sort in to help the stereo out a bit. Also going to replace the steering wheel and putting the generic clear front indicators on. And also changing to the 3rd revision rear spoiler when i can. And these are the wheels im hoping to get

  13. just joined up. got a sw20 GT. its stock as a rock, but i still love it. Greddy_es might remember it from mr2.org. Might put a members ride thread up one day, but its not much to look at at the moment. I really want an apexi pod, exhaust and some mags. And a few other cosmetic things. Greddy_es.....would you mind letting me know where u got ur steering wheel and approx how much it set you back.
