Starting to think its not the cv's now....hear clicking when driving, doesnt get any worse around corners-round abouts, and now grease near cv shaft or around inside wheel rim, i think the noise may be coming from back of engine???

Easy to check CVs - look between the wheel and drive shaft and if you notice a thick greasy substance, viola, CV joint gone. It may also plaster the inside of the wheel rims.

Just checked, no grease visable, anyone have any ideas??

Hey guys, i think my cv's might be stuffed. I drive a 03 conquest wagon and for the past week when i have been driving i can hear a clicking, metal rubbing noise coming from the front. I checked the engine oil, and if anything could be hitting the road, so i dont think it is the engine. When driving i push inthe clutch and can hear the clicking noise faintley. This happened to anyone??....and how do you know when the cv's are stuffed.

Any help much appreciated.

Im thinking about taking off the black plastic door trim this weekend. see how it goes. anyone have any tips? im thinking maybe warm them with a hair dryer 1st? anyone know what i can clean the left over sticky stuff with?

from what iv heard it makes the door sound really hollow, mine were painted so i just left them on, they dont really bother me. When ya gonner drop ya ride on the black top haha??

I have kings in my wagon. I would not get them again, as the drivers side springs sit higher than passangers (to allow for when drivver is in car or something). Are the pedders the same?? Has anyone else with king springs noticed this??

Go to a automotive paint place (cant thnk of any particular places in syd) and tell them your paint code. Or a smash shop, but best bet is the first one. Good luck .

I find that alot of the time the guys who work in the parts department, have very limited knowledge about their Toyota vehicles and parts..

E.g. I once called up the parts dept (won't say which one), asked for a quote for a 05 Sportivo front skirt. The guy told me to hold up, and I could hear him in the background asking someone else, "Hey, did the Corolla ever come in a Sportivo??" .. LOLOL.

Get this, bout 2 years ago i was looking for a sportivo and asked the dealer and he had no idea what a sportivo was....he was like dont you mean levin???...if your selling cars shouldnt you no what your selling???....
