This will be my first vehicle with an auto gearbox, I expect I will have to change some of my driving habits, particularly when towing

Nice work there RR, thanks for sharing the results - I won't need to break out my cheap & nasty GTech now, I'll just show the doubters your pics
Cheers

Thanks riceracing,
I will find out soon enough I guess. Last time was with a mate's diesel auto Prado and I nearly cooked the brakes I have learnt how to drive an auto properly since then

Hoping downhilll decent will help the run down the Clyde mountain with the boat on - does it work at all speeds, or slow speed only?

You know how I love my piccies mate - not sure of this "after" mods thing... surely I've outgrown the modding process by now?

all it needs is a turbo to wake it some more, hey Andrew?
Either that or an Aurion supercharger mate......

Does anyone know how much room to move a Toyota dealer might have from the RRP?

Good luck with your hunting Holmsie. Our price was only after a lot of persistence and being told by a couple of dealers that the best price we had been quoted must have been a mistake. One particular dealer had me sit there for over half an hour giving the impression they could give that price only to turn around and say $2.8K more was the best they could do. In the end we went back to our local dealer and got the price I mentioned above.
Yeah mate, already had one dealer saying they can't come close to one of my quotes... I figure if they want to add to their sales for the end of the financial year they'll be ringing me next week. Unfortunately for me my immediate dealers are country - it's a 4hour drive to the Big Smoke where it's possible I might get a better deal

I have come from a 190kw atw Forester XT so it has some BIG shoes to fill, but I'm sure it's quite capable B)

Some good prices there fellas - I just got quoted $55.6K on-road for a KX-S AWD with tow, nudge and side-steps - might have to get the $tealer to sharpen his pencil a little

We've just decided on a Kluger, after looking at CX9, Tribecca, Pajero, Territory Ghia etc... Terri a close 2nd, but the Kluger won the day :)

Thanks Garry - exactly the reply I was after thanks mate. Nice Kluger and boat you have there too.
As well as my boat, kid duties require me to drag around a double horsefloat occassionally, but that isn't over long distances like I do with the boat ;)
Cheers

Hi guys/gals - I'm shopping for a new family ride and the KXS AWD Kluger is high on the wish list (alongside Territory and diesel Pajero)
I will be regularly towing 2tonnes, has anyone here towed at the maximum rated capacity, and if so were there any issues? What is the towing economy like? I've searched the threads and found some good economy discussion, but not much on towing.
Any comments would be appreciated!
Cheers
Andrew

Garry, if the 6-pack was setting off the seatbelt alarm it means it was too heavy because you weren't drinking that amber nectar quick enough
