what can i say its parked!!! LMAO
  6. Oh well my bad..... obviously i dont know alot about engines i do know for a fact that the 7AFE engine is the best stock engine that that they brought out for this generation. & the main thing that is stopping performance is the the KW's in this model is the exhaust system and air intake system. Apparently improving these two factors will make a big difference. apparently about 10kw-20kw. (MOST LIKELY 15KW)
  7. well mate there much of a like....the only difference is the engine lol Im just glad i got the 7afe 1.8l engine cos their the best of their kind. instead of the 4afe and 7afe 1.4 & 1.6l models which are common but yeah im getting some rims shortly as the Yokohama 14" A drive wheels are getting a bit thin. Like last week i was sliding all over the road in the wet. IT WAS FUNNNN, but not safe lol but thx guys for the rating so far keep them coming people!!!
  8. whos spotted this P platers car around???? http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=18239 if you have let me know ;)
  9. hey everyone.... im new to all this forum so yeah.... feel free to comment on my rolla fellaz:D if u have any suggestions on what to modify that would be cool 2 OH YEAH AND IF YOU'VE SEEN ME AROUND SYDNEY & WESTERN SYDNEY DON'T BE SHY TO SAY HI!!! my car is a 1996 AE102X Corolla SECA CSX with a 1.8L 7AFE everything on this car is completely stock!!! just well maintained and looked after :D the only things i have changes to this car is the following: *stock casette radio >>>>to a>>>>> sony cd player *genuine manifold as the old one split on me (tried to get extractors but mechanics couldn't find one to suit my car) *hub caps ..lol gotta love them
  10. its been done..i got a new manifold on the car. (genuine one from toyota) apparently i got the wrong message. the extractor will fit at the top where the 4 holes are for the engine. But the bottom part where it goes out to the exghaust is located a bit far to the right. So i cant be connected. The mechanic said he tried to get a mate to get some proper extractors for my car (6 to be exact) in but they didn't fit either. Apparently they make the extractors for the car model before and after my model. He then investigated to get one for me to get custom made. but the bloke wanted $700 for the extractor to be made. so my mechanic got the manifold for me brand spankin new from toyota. THE CAR I GOT IS A 1996 AE102X COROLLA SECA CSX HATCH. The engine is a 7AFE 1.8L automatic like i said its been done. the cars been fixed...its hard to find the time to modify the car. Without a car to drive i simply cant get to work. Ill stick to the manifold for a while, and if i want to change it later on then i will. but at this time i cant afford to modifying the car as i rely on it so much to get me to work.PLUS when i get my new job at the end of the year ill think about either buying a new car or modifying the corolla. its best to play it safe a for a few months:) :) oh yeah the new genuine manifold cost me only $370 cos he knew i wasn't happy with all the drama, cos it caused me a bit of difficulty with getting to and from work the next day without a car. plus he got me excited about getting an extractor instead and said how much better it would be on the car.
  11. BAD NEWS EVERYONE im apparently cant get extractors for my car. Apparently for my model they made about 6 types of engines. my mechanic got all the extractors that were surpose to fit the car. All of which couldn't be solded onto the engine....later to find out that there isnt one available for my car. The mechanic however had a contacts with Toyota and managed to find me a brand spankin new manifold instead which was their last one. (very rare) The option he gave me was spend $700 to get someone make me an extractor for my car (with installation) OR get the brand new manifold for $500. (with installation) IVE DECIDED TO JUST STICK TO THE MANIFOLD BEING THE CASE I DONT SEE THE IT WORTH SPENDING EXTRA CASH ON. PLUS I NEED MY CAR ASAP AS I WORK 7 DAYS A WEEK. IM REALLY ****** OFF THAT ITS ALL COSTING ME MORE THAN I WAS EXPECTING. i WAS EXPECTING TO SPEND $300. I'LL DEAL WITH IT. <_< i guess if i ever want to change it to an extractor i can later on. as for all the problemS that my car has been having...its all fixed now so thats a plus ;) BEING A NOOB AND ALL....what would be the best things to change to get more performace out of the car (without making it a turbo or getting a whole new engine) the cars fully genuine and stock. Any ideas on what to do would be fantastic
  12. Intercooler? Where? Pretty sure thats a radiator. the coolant is leaking from the radiator. its going to be fixed up today. so yeah....nothing to worry about im just excited about the extractor
  13. hey dudes....just dropped my car into the mechanics apparently the cars manifold is very very badly damaged, the intercoolers leaking and a few little issues. WHICH WILL ALL BE FIXED :D its now getting a sports extractor put in to replace the damaged manifold. been told the one im getting will make it run nicer...cant wait to take it for a test run on the road
  14. hey all. i got a 1996 AE102x corolla seca CSX (hatch) its a 1.8L auto my cars Exhaust manifold has cracked and i was told i need to replace it urgently. Which should i buy.....another manifold (hard to find) or as recommenced by my mechanic to get an extractor? whats the difference as well? will the extractor give me a tiny bit of boost? really appreciate any input that people give :)
  15. im a young noob so i may lack some detail. i have just found out that my cars timing belt makes a squeeking sound (but looks fine) and my exaughst manifold is cracked which is i had noticed when somone pointed it out to me. (think was caused by me driving for 2 weeks without any engine coolant) I KNOW LAUGHT I know the exaughst manifold would cause some of this to be a problem . i dont know but it sounds like as though its really coming from the exaughst, when accelorating. also the rear of my car keeps jumping up and down even when i am driving like 20kl/h. would that be any of the following? a)suspension b)tires arent straight (they look alright) c) brackpads arent working correctly any idea what i should check or do to fix this problem... i know i have asked a few to may questions lol any input would be muchly appreciated
  16. yeah true that...u just gotta keep an eye out
  17. YOU got any plates on ur car that i can remeber you by?... im from the area.. ill keep an eye out, but i doubt that id remeber just the car and colour lol lol i wont give all you all my plate numbers away....so ill share some of it with ya. A G L -* * * the hub caps will probably give me away plus i have p plates showing front and back on holders. LMAO what car do u have? u should post a picture of it so i can tell u if ive seen u around ;)

  19. hey has anyone seen me? lmao green p plater driving a burgandy seca csx hatch drive around penrith, emu plains and m4. if there is any rolla fans that have spotted me make sure u give me a shout out. appreciated it :D

  21. hey everyone i dont know if this could be it but i found this kit. ITS A SHORT RAM INTAKE.....IS THAT THE SAME THING AS A COLD AIR INTAKE????? if not whats the difference? have a squiz at the link and let me know http://aspecproducts.com/images.asp?theid=634
  22. Well thats good to know thanks heaps from wasting more time looking around for a complete CAI system :D any ideal places for a newbie to get one around penrith? The pod is easy to get. because their availiable everywhere. Im more concerned about the rest of the stuff. Im not much of an car person (knowledge wise) :P but from looking into it i recon i can bolt one on my car myself. Can someone tell me: 1.if i should get a steal pipe or a flexible plastic tubing? 2.where in penrith i can get one?
  23. Hey im looking for a Cold air intake for my car. Its a 96 AE102X corolla seca csx. The engine is a 7AFE 1.8L.........if that helps Is there anyone that knows where i can find a CAI system for my car (in australia ofcourse) If your got the same car as me have a one already installed, could you let me know what brand it is cheers
  24. Not that we encourage street racing..but is overtaking someone at 130kms/hr even considered beating someone?and since you're young and don't know much..i'd say stay off the racing..at least then we'll have one more member on board..but to be honest..i'd seriously doubt you'll beat anyone with your little corolla..so stop dreaming abt racing pple on the road and wake up to reality and learn how to drive properly for a start and respect other road users.Anyway back to your question.. ..like Tats's already mentioned..the 7AFE ain't worth turbo charging(although i had the Turbocharged stivo before)..cos the gains you get with the amount of money u throw in just ain't worth..especially since yours is an Automatic. An since money is of no issue to you..why don't you sell your car..and get one thats already TC.Toyotas have a gd range of TC vehicles ranging from small ones like corollas & starlet GTs..the MR2s(ftw :D)...and the big guns like the Supras etc..just my 2 cents worth yeah mate ur right about that racing part lately ive been slowing it down alot. and ur right 130 kmh is nothing to what iw as doing. but ive sorta been trying to drive safely which is a positive. Honestly ur right but i just bought it. The initial reason for buying the car was for getting to work. Just out of curiosity how much would i gain from a turbo? also ive been thinking maybe it would be best not to tubro and do what someone else said which was to visualise the car and put a muffler and air intake on it. Will a air intake do much at all?
