Its not impossible to do...but look at it this way.

Your cars a few years old and so is the paint...so that being said its best to get a pro to colour match the pain. It just makes it look better for you and later when u want to sell the car.

But to buy the gear might cost u the close to actually get someone to do it.

  2. so i have had the car for the past 2 years and havnt really done much to it. was think of seeing if there are any proformace boosts for it so here i am.

my first car was a ford laser and when that finally died in 2008 i was in a bit of a prediciment, walked into the used cars and there were a few nice ones and then there was this one sitting there a bit dusty, took it for a test drive and fell inlove with it, handles well has a bit of guts.

welcome to TOCAU...good to see another AE102

  3. ha ha, very nice, how long did it take you to edit that together.

I have seen that done by Mystery Guitar Man on youtube and also in an episode of Top Gear.

But yours was good too. Nice work

P.S - Top stuff for the 580K views on youtube

i bet that would have been alot of trial and error to make that

  4. Hi every one, I have not long purchased a great second hand 2008 ATX Aurion. I really want to make it look like new again, but it has alot of scratches on the centre console. Can any one suggest a way that I can fix this, or does any one have a set of silver pieces that they wouldn't mind selling. I live south east of Melbourne.

    Kind Regards Steve

check the wreckers, ebay or like i have done for parts go to Toyota to buy the part your after brand new.

Toyota will have new parts so it will cost a bit more but it depends on the day what you want to spend.

  5. This rant stems from trying to drive in Sydney. Despite all the fixed speed cameras, nearly every bloody motorist over there is in some kind of a rush.

Really? I found they were busy driving around 20 below in the right hand lanes

That i can agree with....some people dont get the idea that the right lane is for over taking & people who wanna speed

it 5hitz me of a morning because i can be in the left lane and pass everyone without speeding.

  6. any idea how to remove the dash thingy below the cd player? I want to install a cup holder but can't get the dash off (have removed the 2 screws up the top)?

Undo those two screws, remove the ash-tray and just firmly pull the whole section towards you - it's clipped in fairly firmly down near the ashtray so might need some leverage fron a flat-head screwdriver, just remember to not bend it too much otherwise the trim will snap (has happened on mine), it's a real bitch to get out sometimes.

where would i be able to buy one of these cup holders to install ^_^

  7. leaving the poor guy alone.

Has anyone investigated if apexi power FC or the greddy e-manager has something for the aurion engine?

just read their website..it says for most jap cars....but im sure it would be mainly suited for nissans and honda's.

I guess it may be possible to get it tuned professionally...but i don't know if that will screw other functions on your car as i have heard the ecu is very fussy. I was having a chat with a mate wondering if it is possible to change the car to have mid range torque instead of high torque. Sure it will use more fuel but it would be beneficial performance wise.

  9. i bought mine for $150 with delivery through ebay

they are high and low beam

Love them...i bought them from a seller located in melbourne.

compared to alot of the HID kits i am pleased with my one...but what people are saying above there are good and **** ebay HID kits.

but then again i have seen many ones from autobarn which were expensive and once installed they looked worse than mine.
