  1. Going by your car history I can see why the 86 isn't quick enough for you,but is fun..

I think you'll be happy with the Megane and I've heard good things about their seats but as you mentioned, long term is where the problems come up..

I'am a Clio fan myself..... Keep us posted

  2. Firstly, I think we have the same size undies, I love the seats and once in them you don't want to get out,it is a pain getting in and out that's why mine isn't a daily, but no aches and pains.

I believe the lights, idle, chirping issues have all been resolved. Mine is a mid 13 model and haven't had these problems. Can't comment on my tail lights though as I changed them and they never saw rain prior to removal. But that's a warranty issue so don't stress over it.

But definitely go for a drive just to get a good feel of the seats...

    Enjoy your new car ;)

  3. As usual John, you do car modification right. Your 86 is beautiful.

Thanks Mick, appreciate it, hope I've chosen the right wheels to complete it..

A glorified panel gap filler :P

    Still, looks nice :D

Yeah but it's TRD, has a better ring to it than Selleys :D

Great! Now send the signed dash panel to me!

  5. John, these wheels were done by Aquadip which I am pretty sure is in Sydney.

Cool, thanks Trent..Ugly looking things ;) that's great because I was curious on how heat would affect the finish. I've seen SR20 cam covers done in a carbon look so if it can handle engine bay temps then I shouldn't have a problem..

  6. How would this process hold up with external pieces? any one know?

is a most definite YES my man, got a mate has had his mirrors done for over a year now, also the guy was doing a whole jet ski when I picked up mu first lot. He said No problem at all man. :)

champion, thank you very much, now to search who and where ...

  7. These guys are amazing. The two different prices for the same part as I mentioned depends if the part is in Aus or in stock in Japan, for small bits and pieces it's only a couple of dollars difference, quick service either way.. I was after a new dash panel and local Toyota dealer has it for $146 and I purchased it from Amayama for $75, so ended up ordering a few extra interior bits/switches in black to replace the silver trim inside... Also saved on postage because they are 10min from my house ;) Extremely helpful and friendly service..

  8. To this day, since my car has been turbocharged, Pete is the only person other than me that has driven it. I am glad that he was able to enjoy that moment and I will always remember his reaction and words when we hit boost, "Woah, that surprised me a little! :) "

He was over my place for lunch last week and he mentioned how impressive your car was/is...

Pete, I will miss you so much, as will the many other people whose lives you have touched in so many ways. I will no longer be able to wake up in the morning to the random photos/Facebook status' you tag me in. They really made my day, it will be hard here on out mate..

Love you, and until we meet again..

    Tara xoxo

Told me all about you and your Sydney visit, he had a great time by the way..

Told my son today(14) and he's quite upset understandably,he reminded me about last June when Duy and Kermit were here and had a couple of hours drive home from a cruise.Duy in my car and my son and Pete in the Green machine, bit of male bonding must've gone on....Oh Pete Pete

  9. Many a great friendship was started on TOCAU and I too had a close friendship with Pete. Always there to lend a hand or help with just about anything a friend or member needed, nothing was ever any trouble for him. He had a lot of friends on this forum in QLD,VIC and here in NSW and stayed in touch with all of them, you know who you are...

A terrible loss at a young age.. Deepest sympathies and prayers to Pete's family.... He will be missed, he already is..

    Farewell my friend

  10. kiwami's B)

or D9R's? I am seriously thinking about a set of D9R's for the track... love them.

Not Kiwami's, thought about it but it's starting to look like a 86 OEM wheel, they're everywhere... I chose something new from Work..

The new D9R would suit your car for sure
