Hi guys,

I have a 97 Starlet and I want to install a new audio system in it, but I'm not sure how to remove the old one..

Anyone able to give me instructions as to which sections of the dash I need to remove and how to do it?

Cheers!

Nick

hi there,

been a while since I riped mine out for a cd player, they normaly bolt from behind with a bracket ,dont cut any wires just unclip the white plastic socket out from the back .when you get a new player try to get adaptors to fit in ,or pay a installer to do it ,less hassle.I hooked a basic pioneer player in and had 6 in 3 way speaker in a custommade parcel shelf ,but got rid of it and made me custom door pods with custom made side door panles so I can put the factory back if I sell the car.

All I got Is 6 in woofer in the doors and tweeter next to it run by Eclipse 4 channel amp and one 12 inch alpine 300 watt rms woofer in sealed box in the back .cable 0 gage with 120 amp circut break after the battry It never runs hot ..

you can romove the panle where you got your air con contols there are 3 screws on top under nieth then you can still have better view in there than sticking your head under the dash .

cheers

James
