Hi My name is John i am 22 yrs old from the Central Coast NSW and i currently own an 89 Toyota Corolla AE92

This Is my Rolla. i have custom White interior from G-Trim.

Got Defected on this grille, that i tried to custom myself.

So i had to go out n buy a new grille, which i think looks better anyways.

This is now my Rolla to date. ive lined up taking the front body kit off and

putting standard bar back on. getting it all sprayed white and putting the

cobra stripe on the outside aswell. also wanting to lower it and put some

nice shiny new mages on and hopefully a new engine.

i gotta ask 1 question though. what was the issue with the defected grille? ive seen other grilles like this on the road. i used 2 have a sportivo grille which is basically the same thing on my 03 rolla so whats the problem?

Well i was pulled over and was told that it was a hazard to pedestrians. i was told that if i hit a person they would get cut up pretty bad with it. which is pretty stupid beacuse. If im gonna hit someone.. there gonna get cut up no matter what, and second is that the hard plastic isnt really much differnt to the mesh. if not less as the mesh would bend where as the plastic would snap and break off..

Yes my car is a no smoking, eating or drinking. or Farting in my car policy.

Also with the engine i was thinking of putting that 4agze in and mounting a 20v on the head. but ive gotta see if it can be done or not. but yeh... should have some.... nuts by then :P

never heard of anyone defected for grille ......

heard of defected for those type of tail lights on commodores because they don't meet australian standards cause missing reflectors

where did you pick it up from? i've seen the blue striped interior somewhere,

oh and as to the 4AGZE block to 20V head?

There's a KE70 in NZ that has the 4AGZE block and the blacktop 20V head on it, and its been turboed, not sure if you could use factory supercharger to keep it supercharged :S but i mean if you're going to the hassle of changing heads etc, you'd wanna do internals, and get some big fark off charger on there or a nice turbo anyways

Oh and it was a nutter car, it was pushing something like 220+kw's at the wheels which is insane in a ke70 which weighs about 900 kilos maybe a bit more,

Ive had the car for about 4 years. um picked it up at a place on the coast called Aussie Aussie Autos.. THey were so stupid played $4,200.00 then when i was handing over the cash i said it was nearly empty on fuel so i got another $100 knocked of the price. And ... they didnt even know it had power steering.

If u have a look on the G-Trim website my car is up there in there top trims. Looked allot better then cause it was brand new lol. but yeh.. very hard to keep clean. As 4 the engine. it was just talk about getting the 20v mounted. i would love to have it done.. but im not really that well knowleged in cars at all.

hot car mate. love the interior but it would take devotion to keep that clean

but seriously... dont bother with a 20v head if your keeping it auto! actually dont bother at all. The valves are to small and delicate. You'll be replacing the valve guides and valves very often. The 16v 4ages a much stronger and there not much gain to be had from the extra valve in each cylinder. The big plus that the stock 20v has over a 16v is the VVT. And if you are going to do it, use a silver top. People have less problems with the heads than they do on a silver top
