Everything stock...

If I were to slap in a set of trd pistons, will there be a power increase and will it be worth the cost of these pistons?

Is it advisable?

Has it been done to any Stivo's?

I think one would get those gains with just the exhaust system. The pistons may yield a few kW due to lower mass and obviously higher compression, but I can't speak from experience.

Funny the JDM Celica have a lower power figure than AUS.

However check out the power at top end with the TRD engine kit. The power curves doesn't goes down once it reaches its peak. In fact it looks like it keeps going up, maybe its good for another 1000rpm or more.

yeah.. looks like u need a pfc or something like that to let u increase ur rev range... to about 9500-10000rpm... which means when u gear shift... u stayin VTec mode...

However, from N/A point of view, I think thats a nice gain considering there is no sacrifice in the power curve. Even the tourqe is increased quite nicely too.

I wonder if its possible to run 13:1 ratio with 98octane fuel at all by ECU tuning. And of course it must be reliable.

And just when your accountant screams in madness to see your outstanding bills, you show him/her your just-purchased Kaaz's ultra-short ratio and final drive, complete with LSD, flywheel and clutch.
