Yesterday, i got into a little accident. No one was hurt, except my Corolla :(

I was driving down Windsor Rd last night at like 10pm dropping my friend home from Parra. I was going about 60 and was approaching a set of lights. The guy infront of me was approx 2 metres away from the lights when it hits yellow. Then he BRAKES hard. Once I saw him brake I broke, and dropped it down gears hoping to engine break and slow me down. I managed to slow down heaps but I was sliding due to wet roads. I JUST hit him but it was enough for his towbar to puncture my front bar. There was NO damage to his car. We had to push down on his car while I got my friend to reverse my car – as the towbar was lodged inside my front bar :( (im so glad I taught her manual!)

I heard a large hissing sound and I thought my radiator was busted! But I realised it was fine since it wasn’t overheating. Driving a bit my windows fogged up and I turned the aircon on. It wasn’t clearing up the windows – so I checked it out and realised it was only blowing air. I assume I busted the aircon unit in the front? I guess that’s where the hissing sound came from – all the air pressure escaping?

Anyone have any idea on how much the aircon unit will cost to fix/replace?

My friend from work took a look at it and said it can be patched up and re-gassed for approx $100.

Looks like ill also need a new front bumper too gah!
