MR-S 6Speed M/T conversion...

Guys,

about time to ditch the SMT in the MR-S, wanna get a 6 M/T to fit in and start doing some engine work on it.

What parts do i need?

The Japanese MR2's came out with the Manual Transmission standard... From memory it's only a 5 speed tho...

I'm guessing you'll need:

Gearbox

Flywheel

Clutch

Shafts (might be interchangable)

Cables

Shifter

That should be about it, not too sure tho... Would have to speak to the experts...

you need the shift linkages and mechanism off an MR2 C series gearbox, then you modify the celica or corolla box to accept the 5-speed's shift linkage setup. It's been detailed on MR2OC etc.

the later model mrs is all 6 speed manuel, do i still need the linkage?

is the mr2 the same as the mrs? the zzw30r?

i got a 2zz-ge&gears from an 05 sportvio n was wondering if its easy fit on the mr2.

or would it b easy to convert my 05 sportivo to my sister 05 1zz corolla automatic?
