96/67 3.0l V6 Vienta mods

Hi Guys!

Just got this car a few weeks ago and i was wondering what sort of after market mods are available (eg. extractors, cold air induction, etc...). This is my first Toyota, i used to own Fords or Holdens which is why i'm not too sure about Camry/Vienta's. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Hey Rob,

Not sure if there are any pre-fab CAI's or performance headers for the V6 Camry's. A member called Leasance has a custom CAI on his Camry V6 so you might want to have a chat to him. Apart from that the only thing I know about that V6 engine is that there is a TRD Supercharger kit for it, I saw it about a year ago listed at 800,000Yen.

Naaaahhh....u dnt need to get custom CAI 4 the V6 mah friend has one straight from TRD on his gen 4. I also got 1 on my 05 cam but i am not sure if they would be the same 4 the vienta.......they go 4 under 250$$au.

alright rob here i go with whats available and whats not and whats a good way to about doin stuff. The trd supercharger is for the 1mz engine and they came in on the gen4 camrys, u have a gen3 so u have a 3vz engine, this sc is able to be modifiyed but ive never seen in australia this be done yet. extractors, well apparently only one company makes them for the v6 and i say apparently as everyone ive been too has said its a custom job and no one makes them but if u do an exhaust go a 2.5" cat back and that will be fine but ofcourse if u got money to spend get some extractors made up and get a highflow cat, alright thats the exhaust done. no for the intake there is no need to even bothor with a cai all u have to do is replace ur standard panel filter with k&n panel filter then underneath the air box there is a pipe attached to it leading to the front bumper... remove this 'snorkel' we call it and the air flow will be further increased. dont worry bout hot air as the hole where the snorkel was attached is right by the wheel arch so it will get cool air anyway. having the exhaust done and the air intake modded per say will have ur car launch forward when it hits 4000rpm. anything else by all means pm me.

Thanks heaps for the info. This weekend i'll get rid of the snorkel and get some prices on 2.5" cat back system. I'll let you know how i go.
