Hi All,

I have a 2003 4cyl Camry that I now use for towing my boat.

Does anyone know the maximum towing capacity of that car for an unbraked trailer ?

Also at the moment the car is sitting with it's rear down, will changing the springs to a heavier duty one helps ? Where's the best/cheapest place to get that done ?

I've been quoted $451 by pedders   Don't really want to spend that much. I'm in the Sydney Area.

Cheers,

Mario

Well, if the 2.2L can hurl 1100kgs... I'd expect this car to do the same, maybe a tad better.

I think... I THINK the Gen 5 Camrys weighed more than the Gen 3 Camrys, so it might be around the 1100-1200 capacity. That's the official towing, but you could easily pull up to 1300-1500 :P

just drive it to you see the steams are coming out of the car, then give yout car to a kid for a candy :)
