Rear Wheel Alignment Adjustment on AE82

1. Ok i have sumone (a so called mechanic) tryin to tell me that an ae82 has a solid rear end even though i'm sure they have an independent rear end so if sumone can confirm for me that it is IRS.

2. They are tryin to tell me that there is no toe in adjusment on the rear for an ae82 when i'm sure there is cause when i had a 4 wheel alignment done they adjusted the toe in so if sumone can confirm also that there is toe in adjustment on the ae82 rear end.

My mums old Hyundai Scoupe had IRS on the back but had no adjustment for wheel alignment. But my corolla ae102 does have adjustment.

So an ae82 not sure if it does or not.

All FWD xE8x series Corollas have IRS (in fact, all FWD Corollas up until the ZZE122 have IRS). Toe adjustment at the rear is via a cam on one of the lower control arms.

Your mechanic may have been getting confused with the AE86, which has a solid (coil-sprung) rear end.
