New ZR6 owner

Hey all,

I've never owned a new car before so this is the first for me.. Nice black zr6 sportivo/moonroof/satnav..

So far so good.. only 260kms on odo..

A few questions that someone might help a newbie owner with:

1. Driving behavior -- how long does it take to run in the motor? 5000kms?

2. The automatic locking when walking away from the car.. is this timed or based on distance?

3. Petrol -- Curious what people are filling in their tanks.. regular unleaded or premium and difference?

I won't bother sticking a pic on here.. im sure everyone has already seen a black stock Aurion :)

Unfortunately, I cant answer any of ur questions..lol...

Never thought about it..Haha

I think for the 2nd one, It dpends on far u are from ur car and the time it's been out of range.

for the 3rd one...Not 2 sure, But if u fill it with like V-Power, it feels a bit more powerful and u get to finish it slower..

But hey..that's what i feel..huehue

Welcome aborad! :)

I believe all of the aurion run on 91 octane regular petrol and that's what the manual says.

So yeah. My aurion runs on 91 regular unleaded and having no problems with it.

hey welcome to the club and congrats with the new car! im sure you'll enjoy it.

1. Apprently Toyota says the aurion doesnt need to be run in. but if you want to be safe, ill say 5000K's.

2. I think the automatic locking is when you unlock the door and if no doors are open within a certain time the car locks back up.

So i guess its time based.

3. I fill up with 98 vortex and get around 590Km out of a tank, apprently if you fill up with 95 or 98 the engine can produce up to 204kw and if u fill up with 91 then the standard 200kw.
