Firstly, I don't know too much about NASCAR at all :P

But I was happy to see Kyle Busch (Toyota driver) leading the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (the sport's highest level), and this is only the 2nd season which Toyota has competed in NASCAR. Wooot :toast:

Toyota have the best motor , has been a good series so far . If it wasn't for a pair of sneaky dodges they would of won the daytona 500

The grid is comprised of 13 Dodge, 15 Chevrolet, 8 Ford, and 10 Toyota (total 46 cars).

Thing I don't understand is that a lot of the Yanks don't like Toyota casting their engines in Japan....even though thats where they cast ALL their engines

I still think they need to change the rules away from pushrod's.

Update:

Kyle Busch's (current championship leader) Toyota has won 3 of the last 4 races including the Coke Zero 400 Daytona and Chicargoland Speedway. Wooot

Its just great seeing Toyota spanking the yanks in their own game

Lets see how they go at the next race at "The Brickyard" Indianapolis

The Toyota NASCAR engine is a 5.7 litre pushrod V8 , based on the best features of the old (and now discontinued) Ford 351 Cleveland, the Chevy 350 and current Toyota USA V8's.

Their engines are US cast and built at TRD in California and were designed from the ground up by TRD USA as a pure racing engine.

So don't go looking for one for your Landcruiser.

Absolutely no Japanese input into them at all, apart from a few Yen here and there.
