World's funniest police chases ...

Did anyone catch the footage on the news last night, of the guy who was trying to outrun the cops in his WRX from Queensland to Tamworth?

In the end, they flattened his tyres (I guess with one of those things they roll out across the road) and chased him with 7 or 8 various police vehicles at about 20kmh until they finally wedged him between two sedans.

A police spokesman was quoted as saying, "The offender said he was trying to get to Tamworth ... well, now he's in Tamworth!" :P

I think he just wanted to get in early for a ticket to the Toyota Nationals

apparently his wife was having a baby and he was writing notes to the police while driving and throwing them out the window to explain...
