Car: 2005 ZZE123R facelift

Suspension: stock (3 years old, 60k km)

Tyres: New 195/55R16 (620mm diameter)

I've taken 2 measurements on 2 sets of flat ground:

Vertical from ground to guard:

Front Right 675

Front Left 680

Rear Right 690

Rear Left 700

Sideskirt ground clearance:

Front Right 190

Front Left 195

Rear Right 205

Rear Left 215

Center of wheel to bottom of guard derived from first measurement:

Front Right 365

Front Left 370

Rear Right 380

Rear Left 390

DSC02204.jpg

Difference between left and right is 5mm front and 10mm rear.

Difference between front and rear is 15mm on right and 20mm on left.

It would be good if i could get springs 20mm lower at front and 35mm lower at rear to go with new shocks, suggestions?

Anyone who wants to measure up and compare, post them up here.

There is going to be an issue with measuring sideskirt clearance. The Levin skirts aren't as high, while people without skirts wont have that point to measure from. The main chassis rails sit lower than the skirts too. I do all my height measurements from ground to wheel arch, then check ground clearance to the lowest point of the chassis.

Ground to wheel arch isn't accurate either. Different rolling diameter of tyres and uneven tyre pressures will mess with your numbers. I think you're meant to go from the centre of the wheel/hub/spigot to the top of the guard to get true measurements of changes in ride height. Legally I think it's measured from the lowest point of the vehicle down to the ground. Anyway, for Wayne, as my eyes see it, I'm on TRD SusKit and my car looks about the same as yours with your new spring/shock combo. My brother is on TEIN Superwagon and is at least 15mm lower than yours all round, but without sideskirts.
