Pricing of Extras

Hi,

First post here, been lurking for a couple of weeks (and decided to join up more recently - I wanted to check out some photos :D )

I am in the market for a new car and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what a reasonable price (dealer fitted) is for the following extras?

I am just trying to work out which model to get based on best resale value as I probably intend to sell the car in a year;

- Nudge Bar

- Side Steps

- Roof-racks for non-rail (KX-R)

- Roof-racks for rails (KX-S, Grande)

- Front-sensors

- Rear-sensors

- Fog lamps

- Tinted Windows

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

If you go to the Toyota Australia web site and use the Build and price your Toyota feature, you can get the price of most options. I found that if you quote that price at the dealer spare parts counter, they will match or better that price. The original price they give you is much higher.

Thought I'd post an update for those that are interested.

The following are list prices for some of the factory options.

Anyone who also has recent list prices for options I have not included, feel free to add them below.

Nudge bar - $790 (ex GST)

Side steps - $950 (ex GST)

Tow bar/ball/wiring - $810 (ex GST)

Front parking sensors _ $485 (ex GST)

Rear parking sensors - $450 (ex GST)

Window tint/clear UV film (all windows, exc. front) - $695 (inc GST)

Full protection pack (paint/vinyl/fabric) - $1995 (inc GST)

Mudguards (set of 4) - $190 (ex GST)

Clarion 9" rear DVD unit - $1600 (ex GST)

Note: these are the dealer list prices and are obviously subject to negotiation when buying a car.

Hopefully this will help some of you, so you can estimate a starting price before visiting the dealer :)
