Hi , i have a yr 2001 Runx . The problem is that the check engine warning comes on after 6000 RPM and stays on until u restart the engine. Could it have anything to do with damaged lift bolts as i understand 2ZZGE engines during this period had problematic lift bolts. If not the lift bolts what could the problem be ?

What was the actual code?

You'll probably have to check the OCV (oil control valve) to see if it is working, check the timing. The problem could be caused by the ECU, the VVT mechanism or the OCV.

This is for a P1345

E9 on the ECU is the biggest plug, it has markings on it to tell you what the pin numbers are.
